Actually the construction of a new post office building was not set until January, 1960 when Rep.

Gavin pressed for action to end the delays. It has been a long, rough hoad to the new 'PO" delay after delay, one complication after another. But, today the new facility is in service and plans for a formal observance are in the making for a later date. Today, however, Mt. Jewett's special cachet, a benefit for the Library Building sponsored by the Library Board and Boy Scout Troop, is in the mail.

Jewett is part of the comprehensive program and would be a hardship on the community if it were noi considered for a new office at this He expressed appreciation for interest of Rep.
