Prior to the meeting the Rotariane and guests visited on the-Rideau Nylon rope la popular for boy lariats. Terrence Brady Arnprior Pioneer Dies af His Home ARNPRIOR, July IS. (Spe-rial) Terrence Brady, one of the few remaining pioneers of Arnprior, died Thursday night at hi borne on Church street after a lengthy Illness.

Mr. Brady was In his 87th year. Terry Brady was born In Arnprior, March 0, 1864, son of -the late Terrence Brady and Catherine Macnamara. He was educated In local schools and following graduation he entered the tailoring He was recognized as one of the best tradesmen in the business. In later years be was employed With the firm of MrLsrhlln Bros.

Church. He was a member of the Holy Name Society. Surviving are three sisters. Miss Elizabeth Brady; Mrs. Fred Daze, both of Arnprior; and Mrs.

James Sydney, The funeral will be at his residence Sunday at 3.48 m. to 8L John Chrysostom Church for Libera service at p.m. Funeral mass will be Monday morning. Interment will be in the Catholic cemetery. Friends Honor Mrs.

Telford, by Group of the Women's Association of the United Church. During the evening, Mrs. Charles McKibbon read an address expressing regret that Mrs. Caldwell was leaving Merrlckville, and wishing she and her husband and little son, success and happiness in their new home. Mrs.

Telford made the presentation of a cup and saucer to Mrs. Caldwell for which she expressed thanks. Refreshments were served by the hostess, sssisted by the group leader, Mrs. Forrest Hamilton. M. M. Munhall Buried at Admaston ADMASTON. July 13. (Special) Many friends and relatives Joined to pay Anal tribute to the memory of Mrs.

Mary Matilda Munhall at her funeral held July 8. Mrs. Munhall died at her home here la her 68th year on July 6. The former Mary Matilda McNamara, she -was born and educated In Kganville and graduated from St Vincent de Paul Training School for Nurses In Brockville In 1918. She bad resided in Admaston for 37 years.

She was married to Harry Munhall who survives. Mrs. Munhall was a member of Our Lady of Fatlma Church, Ren frew, and the Catholic Women's league. Surviving la addition to bar husband are five sons. Martin of Portage du Fort Richard at Better Living CORNWALL, July 18.

(Special) At a special meeting, Cornwall Board of Trade expressed its opposition to the proposed discontinuance of passenger service between Helena, NY. and Ottawa, by the New York Central Railroad. The board decided to write the Board of Transport Commissioners advising it wishes to make submissions in the matter. Mr. Brady was among the Arnprior natives who developed the town from the "mud and stump" stage to its present beauty.

Ha saw the lumbering Industry make prominent the name of Arnprior throughout two continents and ha later watched the transition period from a lumbering to a woollen centre that once again placed the name of Arnprior through-. out the world. -Terry Brady was an authority on hunting and Ashing. He was familiar with every stretch of Chats Lake and up until the past year he Ashed his favorite waters at the Chats Rapids. A musician of note, Mr.

Brady was a member of the Citizens' Band that won fame many years -ago. He was married in 1943 by the late Rev. A. Chains, to the former Louise Dupuis. Mrs.

Aultsville is IB miles west of Cornwall. Police said that the Carwlll Transport, driven by Beaumont Hutt, 88, of Morrisburg, attempting to pass' the other truck when the accident happened. The second truck, driven by John Angell, Swansea, Mass. was reported to have swerved in front of the Carwlll transport The transport driven by Hutt crashed into the south ditch, while the other truck caromed into the north ditch. The American truck was not badly damaged.

Cornwall Fixes Chests Objective CORNWALL, July IS. (Special) Cornwall Community Chest campaign for funds will be held next October 3-16, it was decided at an executive meeting. The 1930 objective has been set at $18,800. Final campaign plans will be made at a meeting in September. Dulmage and Norton Nominated for Reeve KEMPTVILLE, July 18. (special) ueorge Norton and Arnold Dulmage were nominated yesterday to contest the reeveshtp of South Gore town ship. The election, to be held July 34, was caused by the resignation of Reeve Mansell Bennett who has been appointed treasurer ofthe united counties of Leeds and Granville. Norton presently holds the position of councillor and Dulmage previously served seven years as reeve. Leslie Bolton, a former councillor, and James Hall, a fledgling politician, were nominated to contest the election of a new councillor.
