Kushman, the third of the incumbents, is 35, and lives at 5411 St. Joseph Ave. He was appointed to the council in February 1977. He is a pattern maker at Star Patterns in Benton Harbor. 'He and hiswife Kathy have three children.

Phallpneer Duane Brassow, wife Eleanora have five Voters in Stevensville will pick three of six GOP village council trustee candidates in a primary election Monday. Three of the candidates are incumbents seeking re-election. The top three vote-getters will be the GOP candidates for elec-. tion to the three available, two-year council trustee seats in the March 13 general election. No Democrats filed nominat ing petitions for village offices.

Only the council trustee seats are the center of primary election races. Other village candidates, all Republicans and all unopposed, are incumbents Arthur Kasewurm, village president; Bernice Schoen-felder, village clerk; Erwin Fechner, village treasurer; and Robert Sturch, village assessor. Here is a summary of the six trustee candidates. Donald DeMorrow, 50, 5730 Berrien works at Whirlpool's machine shop and is an incumbent. He and his wife Joyce have three children Richard Kramer, also an incumbent, is 59 and lives at 5888 St.

Joseph Ave. He is a design engineer with Auto Specialties who will be 34 on primary election day, works for Twin Cities Glass Co. in Benton Harbor. He and his wife Sandra have two children. August Gorske, 52, 5785 Ridge Road, is a fleet mechanic for Michigan Fruit Canners at the firm's Riverside Distribution Center near Coloma.

Incumbent Dorothy Bro did not seek re-election. Seeking nomination for reelection to terms on the library board are incumbents Carolyn Ritchie, 44, 208 N. Niles a Republican; and Democrat Eric R. Lutz, 28, 310 Harris St. All terms are for two years.

(AP) City police won't enforce new regulations for double-bottom tankers on Interstate 75 or county roads until an Oakland County judge rules on an oil company lawsuit that seeks to overturn the ordinance. city, however, will enforce a new 25 mph limit against gasoline-carrying double-bottoms on Madison Heights streets. Assistant City Attorney Bernard Friedman agreed to that compromise during a court hearing this week on a suit against the city by the Standard Oil Co. of Indiana.
