GIRLS BASKETBALL CHRISTINE SACCO, Northern Valley at Old Tappan Bergen County girls basketball flourished during the Nineties. WRESTLING DAMION LOGAN, St. Joseph The final decision came down to head-to-head meetings.

Logan won both meetings against Lyndhurst's Don Pritzlaff, but was badly affected by one of them. That occurred in the State semifinals In 1 994, when Logan suffered a concussion In their semifinal-round bout. Still dazed a few hours later, Logan took the mat again, but suffered his only State-final defeat. Logan reached the finals four years, while Pritzlaff made it to that level three times. Both went on to become All-Amerlcans in college, placing twice in the NCAA championships, with Pritzlaff winning a gold medal.
