"New Country Y-107" has terminated the contracts of Kerr, sidekick Karen Stewart, and afternoon drive host and program director Larry Big City Radio, WYNY-FM's (107.1) parent company, cited "economic reasons" for the layoffs. Kerr has worked the 6 to 10 RADIO WAVES a.m.

weekday shift at WYNY since May 1998. He previously worked for WQCD-FM (101.9), WMXV-FM (105.1), WYNY-FM (103.5), and WPLJ-FM (95.5). Ray Rossi, who handled the midday show, will take over in the morning. Eric James will replace Rossi in the midday slot. Marty Mitchell will assume Bear's two positions.

Stewart, who began maternity leave last week, will not be replaced. Raymond A. Edel WDHA-FM (105.5) is searching for a Big Greasy deejay. OK, maybe not that big and maybe not that greasy. The Dover-based station needs a partner for "Big Greasy Breakfast" morning-show host Rob Moorhead.

Jen Fogarty, Moorhead's former partner, recently left the show because of a heavy work schedule. WDHA is looking to fill the position with a "regular guy or gal." Interested candidates can submit information at www.wdhafm.com. Applicants should be early risers. The show airs 5:30 to 10 a.m. weekdays.

WFUV-FM (90.7) is bringing its music format to the World Trade Center in Manhattan. "Americana" artists are slated to perform at the Austin J. Tobin Plaza 6 p.m. Wednesdays beginning NRBQ on June 27.
