Robertson Davies writes under the name of Samuel Marchbanks. "The Chameleon" written by George A. Palmer, of Regina, took the second award of $25 given by C. E. Pickering, of' Ottawa.

Third place went to "The Earth is- Round" written by Dorothy Waugh, of Toronto. Miss Waugh will receive an award of $10, donated by the Ottawa Drama League Workshop. Forty-six plays were entered in the contest and were adjudicated by Charles Rittenhouse of Montreal. Mr. Rittenhouse "reported that in general the 'standard: wag tap higher than for last year's contest and that the number of entries possessing literary distinction was most encouraging.

Cattle Producers Sending Delegation To Ottawa TORONTO, April 24. (CW Ontario cattle producers and agricultural representatives meeting here today decided to appoint a committee to go. to Ottawa and urge upon Federal Agriculture Minister Gardiner that efforts be made to reopen the United States market to Canadian cattle. The present beef shortage in Ontario centres was not due to any shortage of cattle but to un satisfactory marketing and ceil ing prices as "compared with production costs, delegates claimed. It was stated that cattle production now was at an all-time, high and farmers could not sell the stock they have.

One of the curious things about nervousness, is wide variety of symptoms which the patient may develop. A. W. Weeden Buried With Full Military Honors Full military honors were acj corded yesterday afternoon at the funeral of Arthur W. Weeden, 21 year-oid army private of 459 Met calfe. street, who Was fatally Injured on Saturday when the truck in wfiich he was riding with three companions overturned on the highway near Kingston.

Canon Northcote Burke officiated at the service in the George H. Rogers 'parlors, assisted by Honorary Capt. A. P. Silcox.

Chief mourners were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Weeden and one sister. Miss Ileen Weeden.

Final military honors were ac corded on interment in -Pinecrest cemetery, with Hon. Capt. Silcox officiating. The firing- party was commanded by CpL D. W.

Pearce, while the bearing party was led by H. Buie. The district depot pipe band was in attendance; under Pipe Major T. Hoggan, A. Smith and WOl R.

B. Mc-Culloch were in charge of the ceremony. Among the large number of friends and servicemen who at-' tended the funeral were the following: C. Palen. J.
