LONDON, July 10. (CP Cable) Captain Patrick G. Taylor, the hero of Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith's dramatic flight across the Tasman Sea in 1935, was awarded the medal of the civil division. Order of the British Empire, today for gallantry. Taylor risked his life to supply the plane's faltering engines with oil.

The late Kingsford-Smith lost at Pan -Pacific Meeting 1 Draws Delegates To Vancouver. As war clouds darken again over the Orient, the fourth triennial conference of the Pan-Pacific Women's Association will open In Vancouver on Monday with the general Ways and Means of Promoting Peace." China and Japan, Australia and New Zealand, the Hawaiian Islands and the United States, England and Brazil, have all sent official representatives to meet a strong Canadian contingent in round-table conferences. Among the delegations are some of the most noted women of the Pacific world.
