College graduates announced Students graduate St. Joe's EAST RUTHERFORD Thirteen eighth-grade students graduated from Saint Joseph School on June 11. Alexa Rachel Marques and Julis-sa Pena were co-valedictorians of the Class of 2005, and Clarice Iris Rodriguez was the salutatorian. Adam Bidas received an award from Bergen Catholic High School. Nicole Marissa Durate, Nadia Hannawi, Alexa Rachel Marques, Julissa Pena, Michael Antonio Ricigliano and Clarice Iris Rodriguez were awarded the Presidential Academic Fitness Award. The students and the high school they will be attending are: Adam Bidas - Bergen Catholic; Daniel Michael Connor and Michael Antonio Ricigliano - St. Peter's Prep; Alexa Rachel Marques and Julissa Pena - Immaculate Conception; Nicole Marissa Duarte, Nadia Hannawi, Kathryn Elizabeth Long, Louis Anthony Mingo-lo and Stephanie Rojas - Queen of Peace; Clarice Iris Rodriguez -Paramus Catholic; Christopher N. Manfredo - Lakeland Regional and Patrick John Kavanagh -Wood-Ridge. Jonathan Pocius Jonathan Pocius of Lyndhurst graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts from Seton Hall University. He majored in communications and public relations and is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Golden Key International Honor Society. He will be employed at Keating and Co., a public relations firm based in Florham Park. He is the son of Roberta Pocius (nee Drzymkows-ki), head of Angel Academy in Lyndhurst, and Anthony Pocius. Christopher John Delia Fave Christopher John Delia Fave, graduated from Elon University in North Carolina with honors on Saturday May 21. He earned his bachelor of arts degree in Fine Arts and Art History with a minor in Photographic Journalism. He attended Union School grammar school in Rutherford and Don Bosco High School in Ramsey. He will begin graduate studies at Philadelphia Art Institute in June. Irene Hernandez Irene Hernandez of Rutherford recently graduated from Rutgers University, Newark campus, with a BA in Psychology. She was on the Dean's list for the entire four years and also was a member of Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society and The Golden Key International Society. She plans to pursue a master's degree and Ph.D in Clinical Psychology at the University of South Florida in the fall. Hernandez, the daughter of Alejandro and Leyda Hernandez, is a 2001 honors graduate of Queen of Peace High School. Joshua 6. Isralowitz Joshua B. Isralowitz of Rutherford graduated summa cum laude and with highest honors from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He received a bachelor of science degree in Mathematical Sciences.
