Page 6 The Sun Thursday, March 20, 1997 Thomas A. Notaro Funeral services were held at St. Mary's of the Lake Church March 17 for Thomas A. Notaro, 85, of Hamburg, who died on Thursday, March 13, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Rose F.

Trimboli Notaro; sons, Peter J. (Diana) and Carmen A. (Joanne) Notaro; sisters, Nina Lombardi, Phyllis Faraci and Rose Arnone; brother, Joseph (Sonia) Notaro; Six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Mr. Notaro was predeceased by his brother, Frank (Phyllis) Notaro Arline A.

Coffey Funeral services were held at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home March 13 for Arline A. LeVere Coffey, 80, of Hamburg, who died on Monday, March 10, 1997. She is survived by her sons, Leonard (Pat) and David Coffey; daughter, Nancy (Jon) Cooper; sister, June Faraci and two grandchildren. Mrs.

Coffey was predeceased by her husband, William M. Coffey; son, Richard Coffey; brother, Robert LeVere and sisters, Laurel and Joyce. She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ and the St. James Servers Group.

Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery. -Jose Vega Funeral services were held at the Wentland Funeral Home on March 18 for Jose Vega, 56, of Buffalo, formerly of North Collins, who died on Saturday, March 15, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Maria Garcia Vega; children, Ramon, Thomas (Clara), Jose Jr.

(Melissa), Carmen (Edgardo) and Miguel (Shannon) Vega; 12 grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. Burial is in North Collins Cemetery. Vivian I. Borer A Mass of Christian Burial was held at SS. Peter and Paul Church March 7 for Vivian I.

Pulvirente Borer, 75, of Hamburg, who died on Monday, March 3, 1997. She is survived by her husband, John Borer sons, John Jr. and Wayne Adam Borer and sister, Loretta Braymiller. Memorials may be made to the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department. Burial was in SS.

Blocho Lepsch, 56, of Hamburg, who died on Saturday, March 8, 1997. She is survived by her husband, Norbert E. Lepsch; Bons, Norbert Jerome (Laurie) and Patrick Lepsch; mother, Florence (late Michael) Blocho; brother, Michael Blocho; sister, Audrey (Rupert) Miller; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lepsch was a real estate agent' for Stovroff and Potter.

Entombment was at Holy Cross Cemetery and arrangements were made through Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home. Irma N. Vreeland Funeral services were held at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home March 6 for Irma N. Newman Vreeland, 86, of Orchard Park, who died on Tuesday, March 4, 1997.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Roland) Racinowski; sons, Skip (Karen) and Robert (Diane) Vreeland; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Vreeland was predeceased by her husband, Forrest Vreeland and sister, Eva Allen and brother, Claude Newman. She was a former member of Hamburg United Methodist Church, Churchill United Methodist Church, Armor Senior Citizens, Hillcrest Senior Citizens and the Audubon Eola Werth A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Church at 10 a.m.

on Saturday, March 22 for Eola "Mickey" L. Monroe Werth, 78, of Hamburg, who died on Sunday, March 16, 1997. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (James) Mead and two grandchildren. Mrs. Werth was predeceased by her brothers, Albert Fisher, Larome, Edward and Justin Monroe and sisters, Lydia Griffin, Ethel Gervase and Julia Barker.

Phillips Funeral services were held at the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home March 19 for Vivian R. Schosek Phillips, 59, of Hamburg, who died on Sunday, March 16, 1997. She is survived by her husband, John P. Phillips; daughters, Pamella (Kevin) Lach and Lela (Tim) Parsell; sons, John (Tammy) and Dennis (Margie) Phillips; parents, Emmett and Lela Schosek; brother, Emmett Jr.

(Elaine) Schosek; sister, Nancy (Ron) Hickson; seven grandchildren; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and cousins. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Women of the Moose, Hamburg Chapter 1217. Loomis Donald David Demmerley Family Owned and Operated Since 1948 Rural fire companies eligible for DEC grants Rural fire companies have until May 1 to apply for grants to enhance their wildfire fighting capabilities. The DEC will administer the grant program, which is funded by the U.S. Forest Service. About $24,000 is available to New York State. Last year, DEC provided grants ranging from $920 to $1,150 to 34 of the 160 fire companies that applied.

Only expenses directly related to wildland fire suppression are eli gible for funding. These include purchasing portable backpack pumps, hand tools, small diameter hose, portable radios, Nomex shirts and pants, hardhatg and dry hy drants. (V To be eligible, fire companies must be located within a town of fewer than 10,000 people, and must provide half of the cost of the project being funded.
