Mary Strnad Obad Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Bistrica Croatian Church Feb. 25 for Mary Karaga Strnad Obad, 86, of Orchard Park, formerly of Woodlawn, who died on Friday Harold J.

Mulholland Word has been received of the death of Harold J. Mulholland, of Tacoma, formerly of Ham-( burg, who died Saturday, March 1, 1997. He ia survived by his daughters Carol Mulholland and Kathy Calloran; son, Richard Mulholland; brothers, Walter of Ithaca and Robert Mulholland of Hamburg and one grandson. Mr. Mulholland was predeceased by his wife, Lea Mulholland.

He was a World War II Army veteran, retiring as a major. Mr. Mulholland was a member of -the Village of Hamburg Police Department from 1946-48 before moving to He continued being active in the police force there and also worked with juvenile delinquents. Monsignor William A. Setlock A Mass of Christian Burial was' celebrated by Bishop Henry J.

Mansell at Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel Feb. 28 for Monsignor William A. Setlock, 76, of Hamburg, who died on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1997. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Setlock and Margaret (Rudolph) Biondi; brother, Stephen (Florence) Setlock nieces and nephews: Monsignor Setlock was predeceased by his brother, John Setlock.

Born in Buffalo, he attended South Park High School, attended college in California and graduated from Tri-State University in Indiana. He served in the Army Air Force in the Pacific during World War II, then worked from 1949 to 1964 at Bell Aerospace where he was an engineer in the astronaut program. He was ordained in 1968, after attending Pope John XXIII National Seminary. Monsignor Setlock served as assistant pastor at All Saints and St. John the Evangelist parishes and Our Lady Help of Christians in Cheektowaga before being named pastor of St.

Monica's in 1981. After his retirement last year, St. Monica's Church was closed and its parishioners joined SS. Rita and Patrick Catholic Church. James A.

Taylor A private memorial service was held for James Austin Taylor, of Blasdell, who died on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Helen Eileen Taylor; daughters, Deborah (Daniel) DiaPaul and Audrey Saber; sons, David and Robert J. (Sandra) Taylor of Houston, Texas; brother, Leonard (Marion) Taylor of Ontario; sister, Betty (George) Sargus of Ontario and five grandchildren. Mr.

Taylorwas predeceased by his brothers, Harry, Howard, Raymond and Robert Taylor and sisters, Amy Colyer, Dorothy Michener, Hazel Wills and Mary Taylor. Ann Marie Daugherty Funeral services were held at St. Francis of Assisi Church Feb. 27 for Ann Marie Eagan-Semrau Daugherty, 67, of Blasdell, who died on Friday, Feb. 24, 1997. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (David) Green; mother, Alice (late William) Semrau; brothers, William (Kathy) and Dennis (Linda) Semrau; four grandchildren: one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Daugherty was predeceased by her husband, James C. Daugherty and sister, Margaret Mary Cronin. She was an office manager at Empire Smokes and Music Vending Machine Co. Mrs.

Daugherty was an Eucharis-tic Minister and Lector at St Francis of Assisi Church. Arrangements were made through the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home. Nischik Ward, 81, of Highland, formerly of Derby, who died on Monday, Feb. 24, 1997. She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Newton, Mary Ann (John) Traufler, Kathleen (Ernie) Waggoner and Odella (James) Knell; son, Michael (Mary Jo) Ward; brother, Eugene Nischik; 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ward was predeceased by her husband, Richard J.

Warren Devlin, 55, of Hamburg, who died on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1997. She is survived by her husband Gerald L. Devlin; sons, Michael and Matthew (Annette) Devlin; daughters, Kara (Frank Myka) and Loretta (Anthony Rinaldi) Devlin; stepmother, Ruth Warren; brothers, Thomas (Joan) and Patrick (Patricia) Warren; sisters, Diana (late Jim) Male, Linda (Gerald) Robitaille and Pamela (Joseph) DiCesare; step-brother David (Trudy) Boss; one grandchild; nieces and nephews. Weidner was predeceased by his brother, Frank (Georgia) Weidner. A graduate of Hamburg High School he went on to Cornell University and the State College of Technology at Alfred. For many years he operated Weidner Farms, a poultry farm his family began in the 1930s and he also operated the Weidner concession stand at the Erie County Fair for 30 years. Mr. Weidner, for the past decade, was the president of the local chapter of the National Association of Credit Management, which resolves debts for corporations.

He was a member of the Hamburg Rotary Club and the Erie County Agricultural Society. He was also an avid golfer. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery. Michael P. Tramontana A Mass of Christian Burial was held at SS.

Peter and Paul Church March 3 for Michael P. Tramontana, 68, of Hamburg, who died Saturday, March 2, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Milazzo Tramontana; son, Samuel (Rosanne) Tramontana; sister, Columbia-date Benny); three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. I Mr. Tramontana was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Tramontana; brothers, Paul (Ida), Sam (Phyliss) and Lee Tramontana; sister, Josephine (late Adolph).

In 1993 he was appointed a prelate of honor, which entitled him to wear a purple cassock and sash. After his retirement he continued to say Mass regularly, serving by request as a visiting priest in several parishes.
