She loved to crochet, skill started by her own mother, then taking the interest much further and learning on own, winning several prizes for her work at Abernethy Fair. Mom was a trivia buff, could give anyone a run for their money, even in her later years. Cats, how she enjoyed pets! Several hummingbird feeders were strung by the windows and she looked forward to hearing the song birds in spring. She was a very independent woman, steadied the reigns when for many years, accepting help offered, rarely asking, and sometimes. still too proud to take Leaving her home in Abernethy, she moved into Balcarres Extendicare for a short time, then into the Integrated Care Centre where she thrived! Mom loved the entertainment, sang along and tapped her toes with many song, won at bingo frequently, and enjoyed visiting with other residents and families.

Loretta was Walter and Charlotte (Smith) Dawson in Regina, SK. She met and married the love of her life, Glen Wight, in 1955, and moved to Rosetown to raise their family and create a beautiful life together. worked long hours in their motel in Rosetown for many years while at the same time loving and caring for her husband and children. She was an avid seamstress and was busy with one craft or her talents were endless. She has been, for the last 15 years, an active volunteer for the Christian Women's Society in Regina.

She was a lifetime member of Kinettes and most recently, K-ettes. Loretta was a Roughrider fan since the age of 5 and has been a faithful volunteer through the years for any Roughrider event. Her faith and love was endless and she will be remembered and missed by all of those whose lives she touched. Loretta is survived by her sons, Bruce (Dianne), Garth (Jenni) and daughter, Brenda (Bill); grandchildren, Jason (Adine), Chad (Laura), Christal (Hitch), Shane, Cory, Ashley (Kyle), Chris, Milan and Curtis; greatgrandchildren, Olivia, Ella, Tyreese, Axl, Emma, Julia, Damien and Madeline; her twin sister Joan Seed, sister Merle Pringe and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Loretta was predeceased by her mother, Charlotte (Smith) Dawson, father, Walter Dawson; sisters, Leah (Dawson) Staphe, Mary (Dawson) Lowe; beloved son, Scott Alexander Wight and most recently, her loving husband Glen Lewis Wight.

Memorial Service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at St. James United Church, 4506 Sherwood Regina, SK (parking available behind church).
