Phone 543 3528 Ki- SS LOST AND FOUND HEPTINO Ruth Viola (nee Smith) was born October 24. 1925 In Lipton, and died June 13, 2008 at Echo Lodge, Fort Qu'Appelle. She will be lovingly remembered bv her son Merv, daughter-in-law Carol, grandchildren Dana, Steven 8 fiancee Camille, and David; her sisters Florence Ikert, Irene Lutz, Vallery Bischler, brother-in-law Don Illingworth and special aunt Frieda Becker. Ruth is predeceased by her parents Phillip George (PG) and Elizabeth (Lizzie, nee Bausmer) Schmidt, husband John W Hepting, brother Jack Smith, sister Geraldine Illingworth, sister-in-law Anne, brothers-in-law Teofil Ikert, Fred Lutz, and Bill Bischler. Ruth was a true farmer, working alongside her husband in doing field work, fixing equipment, building barns, hauling hay, milking cows, managing pigs and chickens, and growing and preserving a huge garden. She was an entrepreneur in selling eggs, cream and other produce to neighbours for nearly 50 years. She served her Lord through generous hospitality, giving, prayer and love of her family. Ruth will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to Cathy at Home Care, Dr. Ingram, and all the staff of Echo Lodge for their exceptional care and kindness. The funeral will be held Monday, June 16, 10:00 am at the Lipton Evangelical Missionary Church. Interment will be held in the Lipton Memorial Gardens.
