Mossie Ida (McCrae) Hancock was born Sept. 14, 1915 in Mervin, SK.

near Lloydminster. where she moved as a child and took most of her schooling, She began her piano studies early, achieving her Licentiate, Royal Schools of Music (LRSM) and Licentiate, Trinity College, London (LTCL). She enjoyed a significant career as a soloist and duo-pianist with her husband of more than 30 years, Gordon Hancock: their many performances included Mozart's Concerto in Flat with the Regina Symphony Orchestra. She also taught piano and theory for more than 30 years, including 13 years at the University of Regina Conservatory of Music. Mossie had a long and illustrious association with the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association as a performer and teacher.

She was the first adjudicator, and the first woman, to adjudicate festivals in all ten provinces. She and Gordon were cohosts from 1959-1974 for the classic music appreciation programs "As We Like and "The Music of Man" on CKCK radio, Regina. Mossie reviewed music, opera, ballet, theatre and literature for 14 years on CBC Radio (Saskatchewan, National, and International services). She was also an actress on radio, in film, and on stage, receiving a Best Actress award from the Dominion Drama Festival. As a writer, she created comedy sketches for CBC.

wrote award-winning stage plays, and documentaries for the Saskatchewan Department of Education, including "Faces and Places of South for which she and Gordon also took all the photographs. She also wrote for the Canada Music Book and Musicanada. Her most memorable writing project was the commissioned history of the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association, "Music for One: Music for published in 1989. Mossie's many honours included an award from the Province of Saskatchewan for her significant contributions to Canada and the world beyond, Honorary Life Memberships from the Canadian Federation of Music Festivals and the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association, and a Founder's Award from the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild. Mossie was predeceased by her parents, Dr.

and Mrs. T. McCrae, her husband Gordon, and her sister, Carol Jean Colson. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, and special friends Lyn Goldman, Lynn Bud Kirk, Doris Morris Lazecki, Jack Partridge, John Davies, and Jean Freeman. Sincere thanks are extended to everyone at Sunset Extendicare who cared so faithfully for Mossie during her years of residence.

Predeceased by her parents, Joseph a and Sophia Dzingielowski; sisters, Josepha (in infancy). Rose Dayne, Ann (Jake) Braun, Julie (Lloyd) Nichols, Caroline (Sigmunt) Tejszerski; brothers, Carl Dzingielowski, Frank (Helen) Dayne, John Dayne; sister-in-law, Leona Dayne; nephews, Gerald, Gregory, Timothy and Johnny Dayne. Josie was born on April 29, 1929 and raised on the family farm near Kelstern, Saskatchewan. She was a R.N./ Head Nurse in the Operating Room at the Pasqua (Grey Nuns) Hospital for 35 years. Her profession was her way of life: she dedicated her entire life to the care of others. She always offered her kindness and compassion to all people. She loved cooking.

gardening, needle point and spending time on the farm. Moments with her family were what she treasured most. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.

Hillis, Iva (Hodgins) of Semans was called into the arms of God to be with her husband Walter on January 17,2011 at 83 years of age. Iva was born on a farm North of Semans on May 17, 1927, daughter of the late Russell and Pearl Hodgins. Predeceased by her husband Walter in 2005, Iva will be fondly remembered and forever cherished by all those whose hearts she touched with her caring spirit, generous nature and dedication to life. Left to celebrate her life is her son Robert (Vivian) Hillis, and daughters Marilyne (Paul) Bonnet and Vivian (Rick) Black.

Granddaughter Sasha, children Hayley, Carley, Trenton and Karter. Granddaughter Melissa (Jamie) and child Dolce. Grandson Brett (Tara) children Milo and Rowan. Grandson Colin, Granddaughter Jill (Tarla). Grandson Owen (Brenda) children Wesley and Samuel.

Everett was predeceased parents, Jake Bessie Nelson, his brothers. Milo and Clarence, and sisters, Ruby, and Opal. Everett is survived by his wife Ada, daughter Sylvia (Gerry), granddaughter Leslie (Kevin) Cleary Casey, grandson Jason (Krista) Liggett Wylie as well as many nieces and nephews. Everett was born on the "Nelson" homestead near Ceylon on October 25th. 1914.

He took his schooling at Gibson Creek and Ceylon schools. Everett enjoyed riding his pony Laddie and they formed a very special bond. In 1925 "The Nelson's" purchased a home in Ceylon. This provided an opportunity for Everett and his brother Clarence to skate and play hockey. A new piano was also purchased and this added much enjoyment for the family.

Everett learned to play the banjo by correspondence. In 1936 Everett answered an ad for a musician to play in a traveling band. He banjo in this band that traveled throughout southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Later he mastered the upright bass violin and rhythm guitar. On October 10th, 1939, Everett married Ada Smith of Ceylon.

In 1941 Everett joined the armed forces as a member of the army recruiting band in Regina and remained in the band for 5 years. During this time in Regina, Everett played for dances in the Trianon Ball Room and the Saskatchewan Hotel. In the spring of 1948, Everett, Ada and baby daughter Sylvia moved to the "Nelson" farm at Ceylon and started a new life. Over the years, Everett continued to play for dances with local musicians, In 1981. Everett and Ada retired to Radville.

Everett continued making music with various musicians from the area and playing for local functions. Everett became a resident of the Radville Marian Home in 2007. A Funeral Service for Everett will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Radville United Church, Radville, SK. Interment to follow at Ceylon Cemetery, Ceylon, SK.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph Barone and Emily Francis, and by his first wife Joan, Izzy is survived by his wife Kathleen of Moosomin, son James LeBlanc of Regina, daughter Joanne LeBlanc of Edmonton, step son John (Beth) Bratton of Langbank, grandchildren Rob Bratton of Calgary, Susanne (Andrew) Fox of Calgary, Michael (Sandra) Bratton of Langbank, and by great grandchildren Katherin, Ava Cooper. He joined the Canadian Army in 1949 and had various postings in Canada and the Middle East. His branch of service was REME (Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers). His medals include the United Nation Emergency Force 1.

Canadian Peace Keeping Services, Canadian Forces Decoration. After leaving the military in 1970 he worked at the Regina Centre of the Arts and later with the Corp of Commissionaires, retiring to Wawota in 1992 and later to Moosomin. He was a member of the Wawota Legion and the Sask. Wildlife Federation. A Special Thank-You to the Staff of the Moosomin Health Care Facility for their exceptional care.

Funeral service will be held at the G.R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel, Moosomin, on Friday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Barbara Wilkins officiating. Interment will be in the Veterans section of the Walpole Cemetery at a later date.
