In 5A Large Schools competition, Winston Knoll improved its record to 6-0 by defeating Balfour In junior girls (Large Schools) play, Winston Knoll emerged with an 8-0 slate after defeating Balfour 25-20, 25-15. Mondays RHSAA volleyball results appear in Local ScoreBoard. Saskatoons Stefanie Miller beat the Callies Nancy Inglis 8-3 in the womens final of the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic in Medicine Hat on Monday. Miller, whose team includes Regina product Chelsey Bell at lead, picked up $4,500 for the win. Inglis earned $3,200.

It was Miller's second straight victory on the womens curling tour. Miller won the Autumn Gold Classic in Calgary on Oct. 11. On the mens side final in Medicine Hat, Moose Jaws Pat Simmons beat Calgarys Mickey Pender-gast 6-3. Simmons won $10,000.

Lucas Zahorski of the Regina Pacers was named the Saskatchewan Baseball Associations minor player-of-the-year at Saturdays awards banquet in Saskatoon. The other award recipents from southern Saskatchewan were Reginas Joe McDonald (Special Award of Merit), the Raymore Rockies (minor team-of-the-year), Extreme Hockey and Sport of Regina (patron-of-the-year) and Tyler Russell of Wynyard (senior oificial-of-the-year). Bear Trapp had the lone marker for the Millionaires, extending his point-scoring streak to eight games. The Rcgina-bom Trapp has 15 points (including five goals) in that run.

The victory gave Notre Dame a 1O4D 0 record and 20 points, three more than the second-place Yorkton Terriers (8-2-1-0) in the Sherwood Conference.
