Bethune, Jim was Saskatchewan. born on near Jim excelled in academics, graduating from the University of Saskatchewan where he obtained his Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees. Jim married the love of his life, Marj, and together they shared many happy times. Family was the centre of their lives.

He was a loving partner, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jim touched the lives of many and had a passion for educating, children through both formal and means. He believed that people should be able to learn while having fun as much as through formal classroom situations. Jim and Marj shared a lifelong commitment to the Canadian and Saskatchewan Lung Associations. There will be a Private Celebration honouring Jim's life for family and close friends of Jim and Marj, at 2:00 p.m.

Lovingly remembered by his wife Mary (Korney) who stood by him and their life together for 69 years; his five children Barb (Wakeford) of Sidney BC, Linda (Critchley) of Cochrane AB, Michelle of Langley BC, Susan (Charles) of Surrey BC Brent of Winnipeg; six grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.

Mike is survived by his sister Helen (Korney) and numerous nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by his father Andrew. mother Mary and brother Fred. Mike began his career with the Saskatchewan Provincial government in May 1946. He continued his training and education for nine years through various correspondence, night classes and numerous short courses based on job demands and was referred to as a "self -made Mike's education, training and perseverance resulted in seven promotions and three transfers. His duties focused on development of local government and extension of self-government.

Mike was on loan to the Saskatchewan Department of Northern Affairs in La Ronge for one year to complete the setting up of Municipal Services, develop and train local governments, and extend self-government. His last eight years of work were spent as Special Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Rural Affairs. After retiring from the government, Mike spent fourteen years as a volunteer with Canadian Executive Services Organization (CESO) where he worked with thirty- seven First Nation bands and spent two months in Ukraine where he worked with five cities, three universities, the Institute of Public Administration, and local government. Mike and Mary relocated to Sidney in 2007 where Mike volunteered at a local community services thrift store. Mike's favorite hobbies included reading, gardening, hunting and fishing.

Visit ca CAROLYN FAY MAJERAN Fay passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the age of 75 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert Magee, Edwin and Marion Nagel. Fay is survived by her spouse Mike; children, Susan Majeran (Alan Findlay), Michael Majeran (Kelly), and Christine Majeran (Steve Heidinger); and grandchildren, Levon and Salan Majeran Findlay, Sean and Holly Majeran, and Steven Jr. and Cooper Heidinger; and sisters-in-law Kathy (Gordon) Crossman and Lillian Lohse. Fay was born in Moose Jaw on May 10, 1942. She grew Mossbank where she graduated high school, then moved to Regina to train as a Registered Nurse at the Regina General Hospital.

Fay married Mike in October, 1963 and began their family a year later. She was a full-time mother after she hung up her nursing hat, until she and Mike opened the "Double in Moosomin. After moving back to Regina in 1974, Fay and Mike started their own sewer and water business, Municipal Utilities Ltd. in 1976. Fay decided that the kids needed an activity to keep them out of trouble after school and this began a 10 year tenure as a Regina Lions Band parent running several days a week, on different schedules and volunteering tirelessly to cook at band camps, fundraise, and chaperone band trips.

In 2005, Fay and Mike sold Municipal Utilities and retired. They continued their annual month-long holidays for several more years ending with a trip to Romania in 2010. Fay was diagnosed after their return. She didn't spend much time with "why me" and instead lived with and fought cancer as her "new Fay talked often about how great the people were that she met along the way, the others in treatment, the staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic and finally, the angels from the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital. She appreciated the loving kindness, care, and friendship she received during her stay.

Prayers will be held at St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, 1770 St. John Street, Regina, SK on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 2005 Edgar Street, Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.

Ed Preston. Rose was born April 20. 1938 in Rabbit Lake, SK. She completed nursing training in Canora, SK, in 1965 and then moved to Weyburn, SK, where she began a life-long career as a Nursing Assistant at the Weyburn General Hospital.

It was also in Weyburn that she met and married Ron on October 7. 1967. Rose and Ron started their family with the arrival of son, Darren, in 1971, and daughter, Darla, in 1973. Rose enjoyed painting and craft work, but the main focus of her life was her family. She was an extremely supportive mother and grandmother, spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren.

Family became a full-time occupation when she retired in 2003 after 36 years of service for the Sun Country Health Region. Rose cherished time spent with family and fond memories of those times will live on with all those whose lives she touched. Visitation will be held at Fletcher Funeral Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
