OBITUARIES Fred Arnold September 30, 1921 April 29,2016 Fred Arnold passed away at the age of 94 years on April 29, 2016 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw.

He was predeceased by his wife, Blanche (Glascock), two sisters, Frieda and Sylvia, and seven brothers, Otto, Cliff. Albert. Gilbert, Robert, Richard and Marvin. Fred is survived by his daughter, Maxine (Patrick). son, Dwight (Shirley), sister, Lillian (Warren).

four grandsons, Jeff, and Christopher and their families. Fred was born and raised in the Shamrock district where he lived with his family until 1965, when he and Blanche and their children moved to Regina. Fred worked at many different occupations but was able to return to farming in his later years. In 1980 he and Blanche retired to Moose Jaw, where he lived until his passing. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Raphael Wing at Providence Place for his care over the last two years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be the Children's Hospital in Saskatoon or a charity of your choice. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In living memory of Fred, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones Son Funeral Home.

Doris was predeceased by her husband Paul: sons Lorne and Clark: grandson Todd; parents Fred and Rose Duesterbeck; brother Herb Duesterbeck: and sister Marjorie Faubert. After marrying Paul, they raised a large family on the Brandt homestead west of Davin. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and a wonderful friend. Doris was an excellent cook and enjoyed many family gatherings in her home.

She also loved gardening, tending to her flowers, and watching baseball, especially the Blue Jays. In her later years she put her talents at sewing to good use and made over 150 quilts which she donated to charities. Doris was an avid volunteer not only in the Davin community but also with Regina Exhibition Association, Canadian Western Agribition and Farm Progress Show. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Darold Sauer officiating.

November RONALD 23,1943 GORDON May 1,2016 diagnosed with brain cancer in July 2014. Throughout his illness, as throughout his life. he remained upbeat and positive.

After a spirited two year battle, Ron passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 1, 2016. Ron was a wonderful father and husband. He will be deeply missed by his wife Carol. his three sons, David. Greg (Shauna), Jeff (Cindy), and his granddaughter Caitie.

He grew up on a farm in Southeastern Saskatchewan. He was very proud of his agrarian roots, and often talked about the lifestyle people he knew from Halbrite. Saskatchewan. He received his B.Sc in Agriculture from the from University Queens. of Saskatchewan and his MBA His first job after university, was with the Budget Bureau, Department of Finance in Saskatchewan.

He often referred to himself as a 'Budget Bureau Beaver', But somehow during those years with the Budget Bureau, he got the urge to travel. He resigned and spent a year traveling through Europe, North Africa and Asia. The travel bug never left him and lasted throughout his career. Ron held several senior positions with the Governments of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. But, about every four years, he resign so he could take up an to head up challenging and interesting projects in Asia or Africa.

His final years were spent on Vancouver Island enjoying family, friends, retirement, and of course traveling. Born in Wadena, he grew up in the area of the Hamre School District, near Hanley, until his mid teen years. He left home to work as farm hand and gained valuable knowledge in agriculture.

Jim joined the RCAF in 1940. training in Lethbridge and Dafoe. In 1943 he was deployed to England and attached to the RAF Bomber Command. He returned to Canada and married his Marjorie in Niagara Falls, ON. He and Marge purchased a dairy farm NE of Balgonie, where they lived and worked side by side for over 60 years.

In the mid 1970's they were honoured with the Master Dairy Farmers Award. Jim was an avid reader, a motorcycle buff, a fisherman, a skilled hunter and marksman skeet shooter. Jim was a good baseball player and an avid curler. The community benefitted from his contributions to their church, the R.M., the Royal Canadian Legion and countless community fund raisers. Jim was a self-taught mechanic, welder, inventor, carpenter, butcher and a master of time management.

Jim held most value for family, friends and neighbors and loved to play cards with them all. Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife Marjorie Coles (nee Gienow); parents Arthur James and Mary Jane Coles (nee Dowdell): sister and brother-in-law Edna and Bill Clare: brother-in-law Jack Cruickshank; sister and brother-in-law Vera and Lawrence Mauch: father and motherin-law Samuel and Anna Mary Gienow (nee Paul): brother-in-law Howard Gienow: sister-in-law Evelyn Gienow; and brother -in-law John Hagley. Left to mourn Jim's passing daughter Jane Broste-Warnes (Lorne Warnes): granddaughter Nicole Broste (Scott Campbell): great granddaughters Jordan and Samantha Campbell; son Samuel Coles (Janet): granddaughter Casey Petras (Matthew): great -grandson Noah; granddaughter Ali Freadrich (Jarrad), great -grandson Cole; sister Evelyn Cruickshank: sister-in-law Beatrice Hagley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years Joyce: children Jacey (Cory) and Butch (Karla); the loves of his life and his shining stars grandchildren Elijah, Jacoby and Eisley: brother Gary (Margy); and sister Pat: as well as many nieces, nephews extended family and friends. Butch had a love of sports that included both playing and coaching. He took pride in organizing his sno-pitch tournament and many other events. He enjoyed organizing many casino trips. Butch has a type A personality and thrived on being with people.

He was actively involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. In accordance to Butch's wishes no formal service will be held.
