Along with his brothers Albert, Harvey and Douglas; and sisters Hazel, Beatrice, Eva and Margaret they moved to the community of Osage, Sk.

in the early 1920s. Don attended West Osage School. He always had a love of the land and in 1947, when his Mother and Father retired to Regina, Don managed the family farm. This kept him busy until 1975, when he sold the farm and retired to Regina where his time was spent at the stock market and at the Royal Canadian Legion, where he was an expert card player. Don was a steady person, with a great sense of dignity and honor, and the love for his family was beyond reproach.

He was a very wise investor, and this enabled him to very generously assist his family, if required. His favorite sport was curling and he seldom missed a bonspiel. Don was vocal with his opinions on controversial matters, and he took great pleasure In lively conversations and arguments. He took a mischievous delight in teasing others. Don enjoyed good health until 1995 at which time he was diagnosed with a heart condition and was told that there would be no more shoveling snow or heavy work, but he could still pursue his love of gardening.

In 1997, it was discovered in a routine examination that Don had leukemia. Although this condition progressed slowly, Don always worried about chemotherapy treatments and the loss of his hair, as he was a person who was always concerned about his appearance. Don enioyed his annual trip to Quill Lake, to visit nieces and nephews Val and Ed Cooper, Darlene and Gord Markwart, and Lee Cooper. Don passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 with his loving wife of 52 years by his side. Don is survived by his wife, Audrey Sargent, and daughters Maxine Seib and her hus--band, Doug; Lois Kos and her husband, Bo, and their children, Ryan Elliot Steven, 'Lauren Jayne Delaney, and Jordan Audra Sargent; and Janet Watson and her hus-'band, Scott, and their children, Brandon 'Scott Cooper and Carter Don Cooper.
