LEASK Jean passed away December 22nd, 1992 in the Surrey Memorial Hospital in her 82nd year. Jeon was a longtime resident of Regina, recently of White Rock, B.C. She Is survived by her devoted husband Stan (they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August). passed on peacefully December 23, 1992 at Pasqua Hospital. She was born October 3, 1908 in Dart-ford, Kent, England. She arrived In Halifax with her family in 1911 aboard the Steamship -Royal They soon settled in Melfort where she completed her education. In 1924 she moved to Southport, Australia with her family for a one year adventure In such a different land, which she fondly recalled. Returning to Melfort, she made her career In retail sales, during which she met Cliff Simpson, her beloved husband of 47 years after marrying December 26, 1945.

As a bankers wife she moved from Climax, Sosk. to Regina in 1952 where she created her warm home for 40 years. Predeceased by her parents Violet (nee James) and William Davis; one brother Lewis (Edith); she is survived by her husband Cliff; her twin children Charlene (Vern) Racz and Charles (Marlene); grandchildren Cheryl, Julie, and Warren Racz; Michael and Erica Simpson; three brothers Cecil, Jim, Frank Davis; one sister Marion Priestley; many nieces, nephews and other relatives with whom she kept In touch In Canada, England, and Australia. Vera's friendly warmth, caring, and loy In life will be long remembered by us all. She loved to visit her many friends, to write and receive letters, to laugh, ond to follow sports.
