ss. rr TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras, June 12 W). The story of the tremendous destruction of life and property in a storm which swept over Honduras last week was told today In belated dispatches which indicated that as many as 1.000 persons may have been killed and described the suffering of thousands of others who were deprived of their property and means of livelihood. The heaviest toss of life was in the town of Ocotepeque, where more than 500 persons were killed and where only the church remains standing after the flood. Banana plantations of the United Fruit company were reported entirely destroyed In military dispatches from Tela, and the company's irrigation system was demolished.

Similar damage to United Fruit company property was reported from Lallma, but Americans were reported to have escaped with their lives.
