Her screams attracting the attention of her" parents and neighbors, a young girl, aged sixteen years, escaped Unhurt when attacked by an unknown, man near her home on Penn avenue about 9 o'clock Sunday evening. Ridgway police are investigating the affair. No description of the strange man was learned, The girl was returning from church alone. She observed an outline a man standing on the; sidewalk of a darkened portion of Penn avenue. Becoming frightened, she stepped onto the roadway, the man followed and seized her, placing his hand over the girl's mouth.

She broke away and started to scream, Her parents and neighbors were quickly on the scene. The man ran towards the B. O. tracks nearby and escaped into the darkness. Although she was unhurt, the gi 1 suffered somewhat from shock.

Mr. Casey who was alor.e in the car, waa thrown through the roof and into a small creek, from which he was taken by passersby. The car did not upset Coroner Phillip Bourne said the man3 neck may have been broken and he had a possible, fracture of the skull, but this has not been definitely determined.
