Penny is attending Redlands High school. Her fiance, now employed by Kaiser Steel Corporation, is formerly Indiana and attended the University of Illinois. MARILYN MCCLELLAND Earl McClellands Reveal Marilyn's Engagement News Mr. and Mrs. Earl C.

McClelland, 1212 Monterey street, announce the engagement of their daughter, Marilyn Kay, to James B. McLain son of Mr. and Mrs. McLain, 3144 Genevieve street, San Bernardino. Marilyn graduated with the Class of 1961 from Redlands High school where she was a member of the A Cappella choir and Girls Athletic Association and served as Maltio business manager.

She is now employed by James C. Blackwell in Redlands. Her fiance is a 1959 graduate of San Bernardino High school. He attended San Bernardino Valley College and is now employed at Patton State hospital. No definite date has been set for the wedding.

ARLENE HARRIS Woman's Club Monday Meeting Time Advanced Members of the Contemporary club are advised that the meeting time far Monday has been advanced to 1:45 in order to give an opportunity to hear a brief talk by Linda Rogers, Redlands girl who took part in the "Students Abroad" program last summer in Pakistan under the American Field Service program. Linda, a senior at Redlands High school, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Rogers, 1733 Chaparral road.

She was the guest of a Karachi family during her summer stay and also visited India before returning home. The Monday program will feature an appearance by Arlene Harris who is said to have "the best known telephone voice in Her psuedo telephone conversa tiong with her friend Masie, her husband Harry and son Junior have been a part of every American radio home. Arlene attributes the success of her radio characterization to her study and knowledge of "Plain Her popularity can be attested to by the fact that she was starred on the Al Pearce Show from 1934 to 1947. She also made personal appearances during those years with the Pearce Gang in nearly every city of the United States. In 1956, under auspices of the State Department, Miss Harris made a trip to visit the North African bases as an entertainer.

Joe Nieto, Theodora Cota, Ignacio Loza, Jess Morales, Cleto Maldonado, Richard Ortiz, Rudolfo Martinez, Tony Jiminez, John Ortiz, Joe Schultehenrich, Al Carillo, Tim Ortiz, Robert Gon zales and Concha Serrano.

Also the Misses Manuela Gonzales, Ruby Garcia, Evelyn Garcia, Viola Dunn, Irene Ortiz, Lupe Vasquez, Vicki Martinez, Julia Ruiz, Florencia Garcia, Santos Gonzales and Chita Avila. Senduig gifts were Mmes. Sara Rey, Priscilla Martinez, Josephine Mendoza, Socorro Rodriguez and Toni Torrez; Miss Julia White and Miss Vu-ginia Reyna. At another shower given by Ve lia Regalado and Mrs. Blanche Reese, guests dressed Helen in white tissue paper as a bride before she opened her gifts.

The bouquet of ribbons from the gifts completed her bridal outfit. At this party were members of the Venture club and Soroptimist cli)b. They were Sue Canon, Judy Will, Sally Schlapkohl, Carolyn Marie Meyer, Virginia Nimmo, Doris Pirkle, Lucy Letizia. Helen Hurley, Gladys Hardy, Garnet Grigsby, Hazel Emmerson, Vesta Schaefer, Helen Vawter and Lois Sandel. Sending gifts were Olive Sepul veda, Carolyn Hernandez, Carol Mueller, Bernie Andrade, Carolyn Lenhart and Cecilia Marmolejo.
