Manager Iirock is unable to explain the caue, but tares that he will have his boys traveling right in the second half. Xat Vaughn, Blakelj thought his team to Providence recently and set an example for the boys. He made S23 pins which Is real good, considering that he secures his practice on the Elakely alleys. At the present time "Joker" Kvnns, of Olyphant. is leading the league in spares, while Ttodney, Peerless is leading in strikes.

Owing to the fact that neither Providence nor North Knd seem to be able to have a full quota of men on hand on Tuesday nights there, will undoubtedly a a radical change in the teams comprising ihe County Bowling league for the econd half. North Knd presented hut two regular men In their lineup this week. This 1s one reason why they have uch a strong hold on the bottom position. It is generally understood 'that Carhondale would like very much to obtain a place in ithe County League for the second bait find from the way things look now there IS no reason why thej' should not be given a berth. With but two ueeks more to go before the close of the first half it certainly looks like Green Olyphant is going good, but the five game lead that CIreen Ridge hits will pull them through.

As the writer rcedirted sometime ago the Dickson City team is begin ning to make trouble, for some of the stronger teams. They howed real class in defeating the Peerless aggregation this week. The writer fails to understand why some manager of the league has not made an effort to enroll Hilly Thomas of the Hillside for the second half. From all reiorts he is goins exceptionally good ihis eason. Undertand that Chief Kiizpa trick, of Blakely, in his initial tryemt for a piace on the Blakely team has a very good alibi for the shovvinc he made.
