WEYBURN, SK (842-6662) Mrs. Chick (Mae) Wilson (nee Urwln), passed away at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital on Thursday, December 16, 1999. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ron Johnstone in 1958, sister, Doris and a brother, Tommy. Chick is survived by her children: Ran (Jen) Johnstone of North Vancouver, Donna (Ron) McDowell of Victoria and Doreen (Huff Wayne) Huffman of Regina and grandchildren: Christine and Suzanne McDowell of Victoria, Leigh and Ron Johnstone of North Vancouver and Kyle and Kendra Huffman of Regina. Chick is also survived by Albert Wilson, and close-knit family of sisters: Edythe McLean and Ev MacDonald of Moose Jaw, No-rah Huber of Victoria and brother, Harry Urwln of Ft.

MacLeod, special In-laws: Thornton Johnstone, Flo Holmes and Jean Mintenko, numerous nieces, nephews and her loving travel, dance and card partner, Bert Kreklewich. Chick was born In Moose Jaw May 2, 1921. The highlight of mom's younger days was playing centre field for the Moose Jow Royals of which her recollection of ball stories usually came to her about 3 a.m. After 25 years of working for Johnstone Dairies and the Co-op Creamery, she moved onto an even busier life called Her suitcase never gathered any dust and her many trips to the Coast doubled B.C.'s economy. She loved life and you can be sure she's making magic harmony" in Heaven.

LOIS IRENE, lifetime member of the Rlceton Community, was born July 16, 1941 and passed away on December 15, 1999 at Regina. Predeceased by her father Oto Bohlken. Lois leaves to cherish her memory husband James; sons Mel (Linda) Purvesand Rocky (Maureen) Purves; five grandsons: Cody, Beau, Ian, Cole and Derek and by a special friend Haley, Also by her mother Mary Bohlken; sister Gloria (Ron) Misskey; brother Duane (Glenda) Bohlken; mother-in-law Ella Crawford, brother-in-law Bill (Marilyn) Crawford, sister-in-law Joan (Ken) Newman, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his loving wife Maudie of 59 years, by his daughters Joan Harvey and Gwendolyn Hay (Greg) both of Regina, and by sisters-in-law Jennie Harvey of Vancouver and Muriel Harvey of Victoria. Ray was predeceased by two brothers, Allan and Stephen.

Ray spent all his working years in education as Teacher, Principal (Norquay), High School Principal (Nipawin), School Superintendent (Medstead and Nipawin), Highschool Superintendent, Chief Superintendent, and in Regina as Deputy Minister of Education, University Professor, Dean of Administration, University Vice-Principal and finally as Deputy Minister of Continuing (Higher) Education. Ray also spent over 3 years as an RCAF navigator, during WWII. He obtained his B.A. and B.Ed. degrees from the U.

of his Ph.D. from the U. of Alta, and an Honorary LI.D degree from both the U. of Sask. and the U.

of Regina. After retirement In 1975, Ray and Maudie spent 20 winters in Mesa, Az. enioylng their many new friends and indulging their love for bridge, and while Ray enloyed golfing, Maudie applied her artistic skill to pottery and singing in a Sweet Adeline group. But Regina was always considered home where family and life long friends were located. Ray and Maudie en-ioyed their home in Regina where gardening and tending flower beds were very important.

Ray also enloyed weekly golf matches with a number of good friends at the Royal Regina Golf Club in his retirement years. At Ray's request there will be no funeral service. Speers Funeral Home will handle arrangements for his cremation. Flowers are respectively declined, but in his honour, a donation may be made to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, P.O. Box 1697, Regina, SK S4P 3Z6.

Think of him as living I the hearts of those he touched For nothing loved is ever lost And he was laved so much FUHRO On Friday, December 17, Jan 1999 Veronica Fuhro (nee Herllck), late of Lake Alma, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 64 years. She was predeceased by her parents Anton and Mary Herllck. Veronica Is survived by her husband Elmer, children Marjory (Steve) of New Zealand, Kevin (Laurie) of Regina, Louise of Port Smith, N.W.T, and Martin (Heather) of Regina and her three grandchildren James, Colin and Matthew Fuhro. She is also survived by sisters Anna (William) Koszman, Bertha (Ted) Koszman and brothers Frank (Christine) Herllck and Joe (Betty) Herllck, all of Tribune, Sask. as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

She passed away December 17, 1999 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Neil, her parents, Margaret and Fredrick (Fred) Mills and by two brothers Lloyd and Herb Mills.

She leaves to celebrate her life three daughters, Feme, Joan (Archie) and Donna (Bob), seven grandchildren Wendy Whitmore (David), Lori Toombs (Mark), Shawn Keown (Joanna), Leanne Sudom (Barry), Jay Creek (Jacqueline), Pam Rlvett (Glen) and Ryan Shay (Karen), and nine great-grandchildren, Ellen, Kelly, Sarah Whitmore, Graham and Eric Toombs, Andrew, Matthew and Daniel Sudom and Allison Rivett. Elsie leaves brothers, Arnett (Phyllis), Lawrence and Jim (Lil) and slsters-in-law Grace Rider ond Eva Mills and numerous nephews and nieces. Elsie was a dearly loved and honoured mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and sister who was the center of her family. She was a very active member of her community and church. In the past one and a half years she lived in Regina Village where she made many new friends In addition to those life time friends In the Evesham District.

Funeral service will be held In Evesham, Saskatchewan at Evesham Community Church on Monday December 20, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Janet MacDonald officiating. Doug Lett Lome Palmer Pierre Charpentler HUTCH The death of Paul Hutch of Outlook occurred on Thursday, December 16, 1999 at the age of 91. His wife Helen passed away March 1991. He is survived by three sons, Jim (Jean) of Saskatoon, Ray (Amy) of Brooks, Gordon (Leone) of Regina; daughter Marie (Bill) Stephan of Lanigan; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Paul was born February 28, 1908 In Glmli, Manitoba and Is the last of a family of 10 brothers and sisters. Paul and Helen started their family In the early thirties. They raised their family during those difficult times and inspired and helped their children to pursue interesting careers. They took great loy from the lives and progress of their families. Paul enioyed life to the fullest.

He loved the outdoors hunting and fishing. He also loved sports soccer, bowling and curling. Most of all, he loved being with people. His kindness and friendship will be missed by many. He worked for the CPR for 47 years.

He had not one day off from sickness or injury during that time and was very proud of the work and safety record of his railroad maintenance crews. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 20, 1999 at 1 :00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church In Outlook, Sask. Interment will take place at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Broderick.
