Predeceased by her husband, Wes in 1974, and grandson, David Heron in 1959. He was born in the Fenwood District, on the family farm on March 17, 1925. He was the son of Stephen and Sophie (nee: Salamon) Gendur. Steve attended Greenbush School, and then began helping on the family farm. In 1949, he moved to Lestock, where he took up farming. On January 26, 1951, Steve married Violet Chubak, in Abbotsford, B.C.

Following their marriage, the couple farmed and opened their own business in Lestock until 1978. Steve was very active in the community of Lestock. He served as Mayor of the town for several years, and was an active member of the local Lions Club. Steve could often be found at the curling rink or umping a ball game. He loved his Hungarian heritage and will be retnembered as a generous and loving family man, always ready to offer help, in 1978, Steve and Violet took up residence in Regina.

Steve worked at C.A. DeFehrs, leaving there in 1985 to take a Sales Manager position at Modern Home Furniture. He retired in January, 1987. Predeceased by his parents: Stephen and Sophie Gendur; Str leaves to mourn his passing, and his life, his wife, Violet (Chubak); two daughters: Bev (Joe) Remai, and Donna (Randy) Sastaunik, all of Prince Albert, one son, Daryl (Cheryl) Gendur, of Regina, also five grandchildren: Jennifer, Joshua, Becky, Michael and Landon.
