Peggy was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Meta; brothers: Eugene, Leigh, and Fred; sisters-in-law: Reta, Kitty, Dorothy and Norma Lockwood; also nephews: Dale Bristow and Shane Sanden. SMYTH Holly Smyth, passed away at the Wawota Memorial Union Hospital, Wawo-ta, Saturday, December 31, 1988, in his 82 year.

He is survived by his wife, Vera; two daughters: Fern (George) Row-ley, of Manor, Gaye (Dale) Wiggins, of Whitewood; and four sons: Milton, of Wawota, Glen (Liz), Valleyview, Hugh (Deb), of Wawota, Grant (Debbie), of Calgary, also by two sisters: Dorothea Poole, of Brandon, Ruby Rutherford, of Regina; and by one brother, Laurence Smyth, of Wawota; and by one sister-in-law, Edna Smyth, Wainwright, also survived by 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment was in the Cannington Manor Free Methodist Cemetery.

SCOTT Earle, late of Ogema, passed away Saturday, December 31, 1988, at the age of 68 The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, January 3, 1989 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ogema United Church, with Rev. HANOSKI Theresa Barbara Hanoski, late of the Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, Regina, passed away on December 31, 1988 at the age of 96 years. Mrs. Hanoski was predeceased by her husband Wenzel, three children; Christine, Mathew and Maria, her four brothers; Sigmund Holitzki, Wenzel Holitzki, William Holitzki and John Holitzki and four sisters; Ann Stradecki, Frances Holitzki, Elizabeth Holitzki and Eva Holitzki.

She is survived by 12 children; John of Vancouver (Richmond), Theresa (John) Schick of Trenton, Ann Hanoski of Regina, Wes Hanoski of Wooler, Gertrude (Ken) Edwards of Bellville, Bert (Helen) Hanoski of Frankford, William (Irene) Hanoski of Regina, Lor-retta (Harold) Mitchell of Cobourg, Raymond (Irene) Hanoski of Regina, De-lores Schuett of Brooks, Agnes Hani-son of Regina, Celine (Larry) Tetlow of Victoria, and also 79 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is survived by one brother Martin (Rose) Holitzki of Killaly, three sisters; Margaret Lepinski, Mary Holitzki both of Regina Pioneer Village, Sister Frances (Barbara Holitzki) O.S.U. of Chatham, Ont. Predeceased by his father, Harvey; Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Nellie; one son, Robby; and daughter-in-law, Pamela of Regina; mother, Gladys of Balcarres; sisters: Shirley McDonald (Don) of Regina, Joyce Werhun (Bert) of Petawawa, brother. George served overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces and was a long time employee of the Regina Board of Education. George was considered a very loving, giving person by family and friends.

PAGE Irene Alice Page, dear mother of Valerie Parker, died peacefully at her home in Regina, on Thursday, December 29, 1988, at the age of 62 years. She will be deeply missed by her granddaughter, Kelly, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon; and her son-in-law, Allan Parker, Regina. She is survived by Fred Page; her mother, Mrs. Alice Marshall, Lebret, her brother and sister-in-law: Alf and Shirley Marshall, Regina; four sisters and their husbands: Rose and Ron Frick, Regina, Lila and Lloyd Pollack, Indian Head, Ladene and George LaRocque, Lebret, and Marsha and Garry Jankoski, Itu-na.

She also leaves 33 nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her father, Maurice; her step-father, William Marshall; brothers: Bud and George; and her sister, Evelyn. Irene was born MArch 12, 1926 at the family farm east of Katepwa in the Qu'Appelle Valley. She was employed by the Department of Censorship in Ottawa, returning to Saskatchewan in 1945 when she married Fred Page of Aber-nethy. While Fred was employed with the Sask.

Wheat Pool, they lived in Amazon, Imperial, Melville, Swift Current and Regina. Irene had numerous interests. She was an avid curler of considerable expertise. She was a keen gardener and an excellent cook, seamstress, knitter, and amateur photographer. Irene was also a gifted landscape artist, specializing in prairie scenes done in oils.

She had a life long interest in literature, especially enjoying the poetry of Shelley, Robert Service, and Edna St. Vincent Millay. Her greatest love, however, was for her family, and in particular, the pride and great ioy she held for her granddaughter, Kelly. In the past few years, Irene's health had failed, hers was the beauty of a rose and the fragility of a butterfly. She had long ago marked the following poem by Christina Georgina Rossetti in one of her books of poetry.

"Song" When I am dead, my dearest, Sing no sad songs for me; Plant thou no roses at my head, Nor shady cypress tree: Be the green grass above me With showers and dewdrops wet; And if thou wilt remember, And if thou wilt, forget. I shall not see the shadows, I shall not feel the rain; I shall not hear the nightingale Sing on, as if in pain; And dreaming through the twilight That doth not rise nor set. Haply I may remember And haply may forget. Private family services were held from the chapel of HELMSING FUNERAL CHAPEL, on Tuesday, January 3, 1989, with Rev. Emmett Mooney officiating.

Interment was at Riverside Cemetery, Regina. Friends so wishing may make in her name a donation to the Saskatchewan Alcohol and Drug Commission, 2140 Hamilton Regina, S4P 2E3. 1 DEATH NOTICE HALSTROM Mr. George V. Halstrom passed away at a local hospital, on Sunday, January 1, 1989, at the age of 86 years. Born June 16, 1902 in Sweden, he came to Canada with his parents in 1916, settling in the Gilroy district. George married Leila Pomeroy in 1926 in Moose Jaw.

He started a farm implement business in Lawson, Sask. in 1928, then moved to Moose Jaw in 1950 taking over a farm implement business until his retirement in 1984. George was a member of the Moose Jaw Chapter 3 of the Royal Arch Masons, Past President and member of the Moose Jaw Wa-Wa Shrine Club, also a member of the Military Band, member of the Oddfellow Lodge and life member of the Moose Jaw Elks Club. Predeceased by his parents; brothers: Joe and Seig; one sister, Ivy. He is survived by his wife, Leila; son, Ron (Eleanor) of Moose Jaw; daughters: Margaret (George) Willson of Winnipeg, and Mildred Gibbs of Moose Jaw; one brother, Len (Alma) of Vancouver, B.C.; sisters: Svea (Norman) Arnott of Victoria, B.C., Ingrid Erickson of Lethbridge, and Inga Gustafson of Moose Jaw; ten grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at W.J. JONES 8, SON CHAPEL ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4, 1989, AT 1:00 P.M. Rev. Anne Grigg will officiate and interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
