Predeceased by her husband, Charles Denton in 1964; one son, Clarence Elmer; and daughter-in-law, Jean in 1976; great-granddaughter, Tracy Marie in 1977; grandson, Clifford in 1988; five brothers; and two sisters. Mrs. Denton is survived by one daughter, Edna (Gilbert) Smallwood; and one son, Harold (Muriel), all of Regina; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters: Esther (Roy) Gieg of San Fernando, Gladys Enghof and Dorothy DeRo-sier, both of Estevan; one brother, Clarence (Violet) of Estevan; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held in Speers Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, July 5, 1989, at 1 :30 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. 1 DEATH NOTICE KAR I US Katherine Karius of St. Paul Lutheran Home, Melville, widow of Henry Karius, passed away in Melville on June 30, 1989, at the age of 87 years. Mrs.

Karius was predeceased by her husband, Henry; two daughters, Evaline and Edna; one son, Ted. She leaves to mourn her passing two sons: Harold (Leona) of Regina and Eddie (Marilyn) of Mississauga, one son-in-law, Mitch Weber of Esterhazy; one-daughter-in-law, VI Karius of Kitchener, one sister, Kathy Graff of Kitchener, six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 4, 1989, at 2:00 p.m., from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Melville. Interment will take place in Melville Municipal Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Church, St. Paul Lutheran home or a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are entrust-ed to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville. LYONS Mrs.

Marie Kathleen Lyons of Moose Jaw, and formerly of Regina, passed away in a local hospital Friday, June 30, 1989, at the age of 81 years. Born in Moose Jaw September 7, 1908, she received her education at Empire, Central Collegiate and Normal school. She taught In Cabri and Forward where she met her husband, Tommy. The couple resided at Canwood, Briercrest (where she was Postmistress), and Lumsden before retiring to Regina. While living in Regina, she worked for the government in the Court House.

She enjoyed her family and greatgrandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Tommy. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila and husband, Leonard McCarthy, Moose Jaw; four grandchildren: Ken (Victoria), Ottawa, Jacqueline, Eyebrow, Donald, Australia, Murray, Red Deer; two great-grandchildren: Meehan and Alison; and one brother, George (Eva) Vincer, Regina. Funeral Service will be held at W.J. JONES AND SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONDAY, JULY 3, 1989, AT 3:30 P.M., Reverend Don Phillips will officiate and interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

McMURDO Mr. James Ivan McMurdo of Saskatoon, passed away In a Saskatoon Hospital, Wednesday, June 28, 1989. Born in Weyburn, Sask. in 1927, he received his education there. Jim raised his family in Moose Jaw where he worked at Valley View Center, retiring as chief engineer in 1986.

Jim had a great love for the outdoors, a sense of humor, a fascination for piping and drumming and card games. He is survived by his loving wife, Terry; two daughters: Kathy (Michael) Filipowich, Moose Jaw and Sandra at home; three sons: Barry (Linda), Weyburn, Jeff (Louise), Alymer, Quebec and Blake, Moose Jaw; three grandchildren: Steven, John and Alyssa; one sister: Peggy (Norman) Ackney, Mesa, Arizona; two brothers: Arthur (Muriel), Saskatoon, Fraser (Brenda), Langley, B.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at W. J. JONES SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, MOOSE JAW, MONDAY, JULY 3, 1989 AT 1:30 P.M.

Mr. Jim Lowe will officiate. Cremation will take place at Prairie Memorial Crematorium with burial of cremains at Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sask. Heart Foundation, Box 521, Moose Jaw, would be appreciated.

Predeceased by her parents; brother, Babe Frey. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 3, 1989, at 2:00 p.m., in St. Cuthbert Anglican Church, Dysart, with Rev. Donald J. Hutton officiating. Interment will follow In McDonald Hills Cemetery.

MOHR Herman Valentine of Southey, Saskatchewan passed away June 29, 1989 at the age of 73 years. Predeceased by his parents; three sons: Larry, Myles, and Wesley; and four brothers. Mr. Folk is survived by two daughters: Theresa (Ernest) Sombach of Scarborough, Dorothy (Bert) Mills of Regina; two sons: Pius (Ruth) of Regina, Reg (Anne) of Scarborough, thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph in West Germany.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 4, 1989 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. J. Weekend officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.

Mr. Gibson was born in Bracebridge, Ontario and was raised in Pense, Sask. After working for the McBride Stores Ltd. in Moose Jaw for many years, he operated his own stores in Wolseley, Moose Jaw and Craven, retiring in 1971. He was a memeber of the Masonic Lodge.

Predeceased by his wife, Betty in 1973; his sister, Mary (May); and three brothers: Tom, Ken and Graham, Mr. Gibson will be fondly remembered by his son, Burt and wife Lois, they of 209, 2911 Harding Regina, recently of Birch Hills, granddaughter, Mrs. Julia (Fred) Cockburn of Briercrest, grandson, Ron (Blanca) Gibson of Winnipeg, and two great grandchilren: Glenda and Tim Cockburn. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 1989 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mutchmor Lodge Chapel, 328 Century Regina, Sask.

HARTNEY The death of Joseph Leo Hartney late of 721 Grandview St. and Drinkwater occured on June 29, 1989. Luttmer and Reverend S. Ripplinger will be celebrants. Interment will be made at Rosedale Cemetery. Joseph Hartney was born June 21, 1913 at 32-14-23 south of Drinkwater. Owing to the early illness and death of his father, Joe began farming as a young boy and continued until the time of his passing.

He attended Okabena Rural School, St. Agnes, Moose Jaw, Notre Dame, Wilcox, and Campion College, Regina. He married Madeleine Nagle on October 19, 1949 at St. Patrick's Church, Rouleau. Together they farmed in the Drinkwater district for many years.

He was a devoted parishoner of St. Patrick's and later of The Church of Our Lady, Moose Jaw. Joe was a quiet individual with a commitment to faith, family and farm. Many happy hours were spent working with his caterpillar tractors in the "Hay Flats A lover of music and dance, Joe was a gifted pianist who entertained himself and many others throughout his lifetime with his piano playing. He was predeceased by his father John In 1932; mother Bridget in 1966; brother Dan with the RCAF in 1943; wife Madeleine In 1986; brother-in-law Damian Nagle In 1988.

He Is survived by his children Rose Mary Hartney, Moose Jaw; John (Jo-Anne) Hartney, Regina; Kathleen (Delbert) McDonald, Fort Qu'Appelle; Tom Hartney, Drinkwater; grandchildren Desmond Hartney and Maire and Kent McDonald; sisters Mariorie (Hugh) Gunn, Regina; Rita (Rudy) Schulhauser, Cupar; sisters-in-law Ruth Nagle, Moose Jaw; Alice Nagle, Moose Jaw; Esther Morrison, Regina; brother-in-law George (Evelyn) Zurich, Ontario; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Prayer services will be conducted in the Parkview Funeral Chapel on Sunday, July 2, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel. R.E. Redpath and T.D.
