on the 9th inst NANCY SHIELDS, in the 74th year of her age. NEW ORLEANS MARKET, Nov. 6. The weather continues beautiful, and out-door business progresses without any interruption. Tobacco.

The stock of tobacco remaining on hand is so limited, that we scarcely have any transactions to record. The demand for the few parcels that occasionally come to band is very good, and holders readily obtain our figures. The sales of the past few days amount to about 50 and we quote, inforior common ai a 3c fair 3 4c; fine 4 a 5c choice and selections 6 a 9c. per lb. Flock.

Since our review of last Saturday, the demand for flour has continued very languid, and as the receipts are accumulating without any increase of the demand, holders are disposed to accept of lower prices. Common brands of Ohio are offered at $4 per bbl Favorite Missouri brands, for bakers' use, are selling at $4 25 per bbl. Pou The stock of this article continues to decrease, and although the demand is limited, prices are advancing. We quote mesa $10. M.

O. 9 76 a $9, prime 7 75 per bbl. Uttr. The sales of beef continue on a very small scale, and there is barely any demand for prime, of which the market is composed. Mess ia much wanted.

We quote prime at $4 25 per bbl. Bacon: There is a moderate demand for aides and shoulders, at former prices, say 6 a 5 and per lb. Hams continue scarce and are in good request. Wequote uncanvassed 9 a 9Jc; canvassed 10 a lie; extra cured lis a 134c per lb. Lard.

We have heard of no transactions in Urd for shipment during the past few days, and the market is dependent on the limited demand for the city and immediate neighborhood. Prices remain without change, and we quote from a 6 Jc per lb. BAOGi.Na and Balk RorE. We cannot notice any improvement in these articles, but are compelled, on the contrary, to observe that tho market is daily becoming worse. The demand is confined entirely to small parcels, for which previous prices are obtained.

We quote western bagging, 11 i a 12Jc. cash, and 12 a 13c. on time. Western rope, 4 a 3Jc. cash, and 4 a 5Jc.

on time. Hi.mp. We are not informed of any transactions in hemp, since our last, although there are several parcels in the market for sale. We quote western dew rotted, $80 a $S1 per ton. Grain.

There has been no material change in the grain market since our last. There is a moderate demand for white corn at 43 a 44c. per bushel. Yellow remains at 60 a 62 but we hear of no sales. Oata are in limited request at 36 a 37 Jc.
