She was the fourth of six children born to Richard and Mary (Peake) Holden. She died at Echo Lodge, Fort Qu'Appelle on September 5, 1993. The family moved to Canada In the early 1900's to settle near Edenwold.

Agnes' mother and 17 year old sister, Clara died of dyptheria, whereupon the remaining family moved to Moose Jaw. Agnes lived with the Prag-nell family in Moose Jaw from 1907-1914, then she and her sister, Madge, were sent to the Convent of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions at Lebret to live and attend school. It was here that Agnes developed her very characteristic handwriting skills which so many friends and family members all over North America have enioyed over the years. Her correspondence brought her great pleasure throughout her life and was most noteworthy. At 15, Agnes worked in an office in Moose Jaw and then later went to work in a general store in Lebret where she met and married Joseph Redmond on November 9, 1920.

They shared their home and lives with many children and young people from the district, as well as their relatives. For the last 40 years they had been travelling south every winter, residing in Seminole, Fla. where they enioyed their many friends. They returned to Saskatchewan summers on the farm.
