St. Paul Luther League Celebrates First Year Of Renewed Activity Tues. The banquet at the B3a7.ilmar Hotel Tuesday evening marked the end of the fir year of the organized Luther League of the St Paul Lutheran Church, Sixty Kuests- attended the celebration with the H. Ziehe serving master of ceremonies. A patriotic theme was used throughout the decorations and On the Mend the centerpiece of red and white carnations was a uift from the other organizations in the church.

American flags and red candles completed the plan. The Rev. George Krueger of San Antonio, former pastor of the Taylor church, was the guest speaker talking on "Youth-the Church of Tomorrow in Training Today. He emphasized the fact that the youth as an active part of the church was essential, and that the present league was doing well in that line. E.

Johnson, chairman of the vestry of the church, brought a message of congratulations from the other organizations in the church and pledged the support of the other church groups in all undertakings of the league. Kathy Davis Is Granddaughter Of the E. M. Grimes Mr and Mrs. Kenneth Davis of San Marcos are the parents of a daughter, born Monday February 16 at a local hospital The little girl weighed seven pounds, four ounces and will be called Kathy.

Her maternal grandparents are Judge and Mrs. M. Grimes of Taylor and she is the granddaughter of Mrs. William H. Davis and he late Judiie Davis of Carrizo Springs.
