No other pastor has held a longer pastorate in Jamestown. Dr. Hanson preaches to a large congregation each Sunday morning at both English and Swedish services. Often speaking as many as four times each Sunday, Dr. Hanson has preached more than 5,000 sermons here.

In the 41 year3 in the city, he has officiated at 2,037 weddings and 2,011 funreal services; confirmed 2009 children; and baptized 2,064 children and 70 adults. When Dr. Hanson came to the church, his communicant adult membership numbered 120. Today it is more than 1,400, with 600 membership in the Sunday school. Dr.

Hanson spoke Thursday evening at the 75th anniversary of labor Lutheran church. DRIVER 'FAIR' AFTER SPECTACULAR PLUNGE Donald Sharpless, 31, is in "fair' condition at St. Marys hospital fol lowing a spectacular accident at the big West Branch Flood Control Dam at Glen Hazel yesterday in which his water tank truck backed over the breast of the dam and toppled down 160 feet end over ehd. Sharpless was tossed out of the truck near bottom of the dam and it was reported that the truck pass ed over him. He was removed to St.

Marys hospital where complete extent of injuries have not been determined. He is reported to have suffered bruises over his entire body, a fractured pelvis, dislocated right hip in addition to undetermin ed injuries. The miller, Maurice Maillet, allegedly supplied flour for the fatal loaves which also drdve dozens of other victims into violent hallucina tions. Some 35 sufferers still are hospitalized.
