She was born at Port Elgin, Ont., January 28, 1879. She took her schooling at Port Elgin. She was married March 21;1901 and the couple made their home at Halleybury, Ont. They came west in 1910 to Davin, Sask. where Franklin was engaged In farming. They moved to Melfort in 1912 and In 1914 came to the NIpawin district where they took up homestead rights. They retired from farming in 1940 and moved into Nipawin where she resided until her death. Mrs. Roberts was predeceased by her husband In 1955, two daughters: Laura Matthews in 1974 and Louella Marquis in 1932 and a son Lloyd In 1931. She is survived by one son, Boyd of Swalwell, Alta. and one 8 daughter, Esther Stith of Regina; nine grandchi Idren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-greatgrandchildren.
