Then add Vi cup chopped celery, teaspoon celery seed, 7 drops tabasco, a half bottle of torrtato catsup, a tablespoon Worcestershire, teaspoon allspice, and teaspoon curry powder. Boil slowly for 2 hours. Add the raw peeled shrimp.

Cook gently for 1 hour. Add li cup sherry, and stick butter, Thicken to desired thickness with cracker crumbs (I used cup). Serve with flaky dry rice. I used 1 13 cups rice. Cooked it until it was done, then steamed it in a colander over hot water until ready to serve.

The traditional wedding cake adorned with miniature bride and bridegroom was cut by the newlyweds.

IN TELEVISION WORK Mrs. Nye is television director and producer on the staff of KGO-TV of the American Broadcasting station in San Francisco. She graduated from Northwestern school of journalism. Mr. Nye serves as television producer on the staff of McCann Erickson Advertising agency in Snn Francisco.

He graduated from San Bernardino High school and Valley college. Only a few intimate friends were present for the ceremony. Guests from San Francisco were Mrs. George Renfro, wife of the best man; Miss Bunty Fabian, television personality; Miss Nancy MacDuff, radio singer. Mr.

Perkins. SHOW LATEST FASHIONS Sparkling commentary by Miss Lee Elliott and piano music by Betty Thowson of Ade- anto highlighted the showing of the latest styles from a San Bernardino dress shop, with club members as the models. Following the sliow, Mrs. J. B.

Buck and Mrs. Roy LeCraw served punch from a lace-cov-ercd table, festive with pastel green candles, crystal punch bowls, dainty cookies and an unusual centerpiece, featuring an Easter bonnet filled with spring flowers. Mrs Rhoda Bethlahmy arranged the table decorations, with assistance from the Apple Valley Inn's management. Illness among the club membership caused a number of changes in the personnel directing the show. Both the president, Mrs.

Howard Galbreath, and the permanent hostess, Mrs. Dennis Crisp, were ill. Mrs. Muehleisen presented the presidents of the visiting groups, including Mrs. Carl King, Victor Valley Woman's club; Mrs.

Le-Iha Bertolotti, Apple Valley Woman's club; Mrs. Louise Brown, Fremont club of Adelanto; and Mrs. Yates, Adelanto Community Aid society. Hostesses aiding Mrs. Cham-berlin and her assistant, Mrs.

J. VV. Hayes numbered Mmes. Buck, LeCraw, E. G.

D. Oden visited mission stations in various countries. Fellowship members and their special guests, the fellowship groups from Highland and Cali-mesa, enjoyed a pot luck luncheon before the program hour. The Ruth-Naomi circle served as hostess. Under the supervision of Mrs.

U. C. Krupp, tables were arranged to form a cross. Clever Easter egg trees in pastel colors and baskets of spring flowers adorned the tables. Other special guests at the meeting were representatives of the San Bernardino Council of Church Women, who were invited for Miss Farris' talk.

Mrs. Seward H. Brush, fellowship president, conducted the business meeting, and Mrs. Paul Dobbel had charge of the devotions, using "hands" as her 1 topic. and Mrs. Alden Stewart Nye, recently when they visited Mr. Nye's mother, Mrs. Arthur M. Nye of San Bernardino, on their honeymoon trip before returning to establish a home in San Francisco.

The Nyes' honeymoon trip took them down the California coast through Santa Barbara, into Mexico and Arizona and back through Southern California. They exchanged their wedding vows in an afternoon ceremony performed Jan. 21 at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Hooker of Ojai valley.

Mrs. Nye is the former Dorothy Flor- Hooker, daughter of the Edward Charles Hookers of Chicago. PARTICIPATES The bridal party stood before an improvised altar of greenery and spring blossoms flanked by candelabra. The double ring ceremony was used, with the Rev. H.

Clayton Neel qf the Ojai Presbyterian church officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Alan Hook- Film Program for Women of Church A colored movie on cancer, containing information on self-examination, will feature the program at the monthly meeting of the First English Lutheran Women of the Church Thursday, March 15. A doctor, representing the American Cancer society, will give the commentary wilh the film. Both the day group and the newly organized evening group will be privileged to see and hear this program. The day group's meeting will begin wilh a social hour at 1 p.m.

and the evening group, whose members are employed women, young mothers and others unable to meet in the afternoons, is convening at 8. Bernardino, Ph. 3-4162 Miss Elsie Farris, prominent woman attorney from Long Beach, explained her ever-growing interest in mission work in a dynamic and inspirational talk given recently at the March meeting of the Woman's fellowship, First Congregational church. An extensive traveler, Miss Farris said that she first realized the need for mission doctors and teachers on a trip to Guatemala, where she saw in isolated areas several accidents and illnesses needing the immediate care of a doctor. On returning to the United States, she resolved to finance the training of a missionary doctor for service in such an area as that she had visited in Guatemala.
