His immediate family by his predecessed wife of 50 years, Patricia, include daughters Sheila Kriss and husband John of Vancouver; Joyce Beaumont and husband Verne of Saturna Island; and son Graham and wife Rosemary of Port Alberni. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren. He is survived by brother Robert and wife Lina of West Vancouver and sister Winifred Daoust and husband Arthur of Belcarra Park, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. Callender was a member of Summerland Masonic Lodge Hiram Lodge 14 of Courtenay, B.C., Penticton Chapter Royal Arch Masons of B.C., and Cyrus Royal Arch Chapter Courtenay, B.C.

and Cathedral Chapter No. 35, R.A.M. Port Alberni, B.C. He was a member of the Society of Royal Masons of B.C., and a member of the Order of the High Priesthood of the Masons. He was also a member of the Eastern Star Summerland Chapter, Princess Patricia Vancou3 ver, and Florence Chapter No.

53, Courtenay; and also The 4 Rob Morris Society of Patrons and Past Patrons O.E.S. He was a member of the Advisory Board of the Boy Scouts of Canada and a member of the Summerland Garden Club. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, July 7th at St. Stephens Anglican Church in Summerland, Rev. Bob Mathews officiating.
