MESA, Aug. 17-Funeral services Mexican TripStory Is Told CHANDLER. Aug. -17-Tracing his trip to Mexico, D. via Monterrey, Pete Guerrero of Mesa gave the Chandler Rotary Club an interesting resume of experiences and places of interest.

According 10 Mr. Guerrero, the road is paved straight through to Mexico City. For some distance the road runs along the seacoast. and by the time one is halfway to Mexico City, it has reached an altitude of more than 9,000 feet. Part of 'the trip w'as made through clouds.

The highway is flanked for miles by orchids, banana trees, coffee shrubs, cacao trees and rubber trees. Most of the growth is wild, while some of it is under cultivation. The most interesting side trip Mr. Guerrero made from Mexico City was to visit an old convent church. Built about 1563, the fice is made of stone from a by quarry.

Most interesting was the fact that Indians were lined up from the quarry to the building site. and the stones handed from man to man until the church was completederrero was Introduced by Albert Serrano, program chairman.
