The line averaged 184 pounds, Comparing this with the Colton heft shows that the Jackets' back-field averages little better than 158 and the line averages 173. Dave Swing, Bill Abernathie, But Evans, Dick Price and Don Barnes are the standouts on the Colton lineup while Riverside has classy talent in Trujillo, Barnetl and Tavaglione.

"Why should I feel good?" he countered. Blaik termed the game a great battle of defenses, and said he maintains his opinion, to wit, that Army still is a great team. Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis, the famed touchdown twins, were pretty well bottled up by the stout Notre Dame defense, but Blaik said he was highly satisfed with their showing.

The two Cadet stars were marked men all afternoon, with the comparatively unsung Arnold Tucker stealing much of the spotlight with his sparkling play. SAN BERNARDINO By WHITNEY MARTIN NEW YORK, There was no elation, nor was there any deject- tion as Army's still unbeaten, but now tied, footballers trooped into their dressing room deep in the heart of Yankee stadium after their bruising battle with Notre Dame. Subdued might be the word.

Their winning streak of 25 straight over a nearly-three-year period had been snapped, and realization of this made them quiet and thoughtful as they hurriedly showered, donned heavy warmup suits and hurried to their bus. Coach Earl (Red) Blaik, although still high on his Cadets, nevertheless, showed his disap pointment when some one suggest Missouri Has Too Much Power, 21 toO COLUMBIA, Mo. UP) A driving Missouri eleven broke down Colorado's defense with a bang in the final period to pile up a 21-0 victory over the Buffaloes on a rain-soaked field here yesterday afternoon. About 5,800 persons saw the game. Michigan state's 1916 record now stands at two wins and five defeats.

The largest crowd ever to see a Michigan-Michigan State game watched the Wolverines intercept three state passes for touchdowns and march to five other scores in drives ranging from 43 to 92 yards. Atltogether Michigan piled up 23 first downs to eight for state and outgained its East Lansing rivals 500 yards to 212 on the ground and through the air. Michigan scored the first time it got its hands on the ball. Cen ter Jin BrieskeV, place kick was blocked, but Quarterback Don Robinson scooped up the loose ball on the 25 and passed to End Len Ford for the extra point. State got its lone tally late in the third quarter when Halfback Horace Smith connected with yard scoring pass.

End Matt Maz- za kicked the point. and it took but three plays for Harold Preece to sneak over from the one. Ray Alexander kicked the point to put the Braves back In the game. DONS LOSE BALL In the last period, the Dons lost the ball on fumble on their own 42. On second down, pass In terference was ruled against the visitors, giving the Indians the ball on their opponents' 14.

Jack Henley then proceeded to make it one-man show as he carried the ball four of the five times neces sary before the Indians scored. The touchdown play was a smash over right tackle from one yard out. Ray Alexander again added the point to ice the game for the San Bernardino Indians. The Dons overhead game, that was highly publicized, failed to materialize against the alert In dian defense and after the first half they completely throttled the Dons hard running backs. Dick Adair, Hale Paxton, and big Ed Schmidt led the linemen in what was their best game of the year and in the backfield Jack Henley took over the offensive burden to repeatedly smash for large gains when it appeared that he would be stopped for a loss.

ANN ARBOR, (IP) Head Coach Fritz Crisler sent in everyone but the water boy yesterday as his powerful University of Michigan football team crushed Michigan State college, 55 to 7, before a bored crowd of 77,134 fans. It was Michigan's ninth straight triumph in the teams' rivalry and the Wolverines' fourth victory in seven starts, this season. Jaysee Rose Bowl Srid Classic Will Go for Charity ONTARIO Receipts from such football games as the Junior col-lego Rose bowl must go to charity in future. That is the stand of the Eastern Division of the Southern California Junior college conference, as reported yesterday by Leo A. Wadsworth, division president, following a session at Chaffey college.

The stand was taken, according to Wadsworth, to guard against the likelihood of wide-open proselyting on the part of California junior colleges should the "take" mount to 520,000 or more, holding that such activities would serve to cheapen educational and athletic programs of competing institutions. The conference gave its approval to the proposed East-West game at the Rose bowl Dec. 7, but stipulated that the action in no way sets a precedent for future games.
