San Antonio course. Coach Walt Opp's San Bernardino harriers are rated favorites to nab the annual event, but they will receive plenty of competition from the Riverside Tigers. Chaffey and Santa Ana are expected to finish among the first four teams, with Mt. San Antonio and the Fullerton Hornets towards the bottom.

The Indians are undefeated in meets against conference teams, as they have dumped the Mission City Bengals twice and the Mountaineers once. Riverside has defeated Chaffey and Mt. Sac, while Pomona has drubbed Fullerton.
