Elizabeth Kaiser A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 10 a.m. from Trinity Episcopal Church in Hamburg for Elizabeth Trimble Kaiser, who died Friday, June 20, 2003. Wife of the late Charles M. Kaiser, she is survived by her children, Carol Lawrence, Barbara (late Vincent) Wirth, C. Martin (Paulette) and Faol (Gerald) Nifontoff; brother, George (Jean) Trimble; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Mason Trimble. Mrs. Kaiser was born in York, Pennsylvania and later moved to Buffalo where she graduated from Bennett High School. While living in Snyder, New York and then St. Petersburg, Florida, she worked as a bookkeeper for Allied Bitumens and Golden Triangle respectively.

After retiring in 1990, she went to work for the New York State Omrdd Senior Companion Project at West Seneca Developmental Center. She was a past-president of the Hamburg Women's Club, past treasurer of the EC ofTrin-ity Church and member of the Trinity Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Armor Home-makers, Hamburg Historical Society, Friends of the Hamburg Library, American Legion Auxiliary and St. Matthews United Church of Christ Activities Group. Maishak Harrington, 72, of Angola, who died Thursday, July 3, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Gerald W. Harrington; daughters, Susan Peterson and Roxanne (Lance) Pattison; siblings, Nancy Coe and Frank Maishak and six grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Audrey Gray Word has been received of the death of Audrey Mae Valentine Gray, 76, of St.

Cloud, Florida, who died Sunday, April 20, 2003. She is survived by her husband, John W. Gray children, John W. (Anna) Gray Jeffrey (Gina), Darrell and Jeannine Gray; sisters, ByrleHahn, Marilyn Crowell and Darlene Ortel; and eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Lester, Loren (Pudge), Norman, Laverne and Marvin Valentine; and sister, Lenore Valentine.

Mrs. Gray was born in Perrysburg and was a caregiver for many elderly patients in the Hamburg area. David Bushnell Funeral services were held Wednesday July 9) from the Heimburg-Addison Funeral Home for David H. Bushnell, 60, of Irving, who died Saturday, July 5, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Swartzwelder Bushnell; children, David Ryan Bushnell and Romney Clarke; mother, Jean Bushnell; siblings, Leslie Bushnell Stewart and Thomas C.

(Eileen) Bushnell; three grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews. He was predecesed by his father, Thomas W. Bushnell. Mr. Bushnell was general manager of the Shorewood Country Club in Dunkirk.

Sister Susan Wawro, served religiously for 71 years, dies at the age of 89 A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday (July 3) from Immaculate Conception Convent Chapel in Hamburg for Sister M. Susan Wawro, FSSJ, who died Monday, June 30, 2003... She is survived by her sisters, Stella Dec and Theresa Lewandowski; and nieces and 1 She was predeceased by her brothers, Rev. Desiderius OFM "Conv Joseph and Anthony Wawro; and sister, Rose Pedzich.

The former Antoinette Wawro was born on March 9, 1914 in Auburn, New entered the postulancy of the Franciscan Sisters of St Joseph from St. Hyacinth Parish in Auburn on Sept 9, 1932. She professed her final vows on July 10, 1937 and later received a BS in Education from the University of Detroit and a MS in Education from St. Bonaventure University. For 54 years she ministered in the field of education as a teacher in Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey and also at St Barnabas in Depew, Most Precious Blood in Angola and St Vincent in North Evans.

She also served as business manager at Immaculate Academy and did office work at St Columba in Buffalo and an aide at St. Peter in Lewiston. Sister Susan retired to Immaculate Conception Convent in 1988 and in 1994 joined the community of Sisters in the Health Center. She wrote letters to individuals who lived alone and spent an nour in prayer in the Health Center chapel on a daily basis. Burial was at St Stanislaus Cemetery in Cheektowaga.

Robert Stevick A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday (July 2) from St. Mary's Church for Robert W. Stevick of New Oregon and formerly of Tonawanda, who died Saturday, June 28, 2003. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Pachiba Stevick; children, Robert (Roxanne), Joseph (Joanne) and Mark Stevick and Laura (Brent) Jagaw; sisters, Myrtle Stevick and June Lenhard; and five grandchildren. Mr.

Stevick was a former 40-year employee of Conrail. He was a member of the Langford New Oregon Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the North Collins Senior Citizens and past president and exempt member of The Active Hose Volunteer Fire Company in North Tonawanda. He was also a 10-year member of North Collins Emergency Squad, member of St. Mary's Church in New Oregon and was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels in North Collins. Memorials may be made to the Langford New Oregon Volunteer Fire Department.

Arrangements were made through the Wentland Funeral Home. Elizabeth Amidon Funeral services will be held Saturday (July 5) from the Wentland Funeral Home for Elizabeth Waterman Amidon, BO, formerly of the Cattaraugus, Indian Reservation, who died Wednesday, July 2, 2003. She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth (Eva), John Arlene) and Phillip (Cheryl) Waterman. Mrs. Amidon was an employee of Gowanda Correctional and past president for the CSEA.

Burial was at the Seneca Nation Cemetery. John Hughes Funeral services were held Wednesday (July 9) from the Heimburg-Addison Funeral Home for John J. Hughes, 74, of Angola, who died Sunday, July 6, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Audrey C. Baker Hughes; sons, John (Ann), Dennis (Carol) and Kevin (Sara) Hughes; five sisters, one brother, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Hamburg Planning Board, 7:30 p.m. Babysitter training course to be offered in Boston The Town of Boston Recreation Department is going to again offer the Red Cross Babysitting Training Program for children age 11 and up this summer. The course will run from 9.45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15 and Thursday, July 17 at Boston Valley Elementary School.

Participants will learn good babysitting skills and earn the Red Cross Babysitting Certificate. This program will be open to all and you do not need to be a Boston resident to enroll. The course is free to those insure by Blue CrossBlue Shield and $80 for others. For more information call Recreation Director Bonnie Clesse at 648-4034. Volunteers needed The Buffalo Museum of Science is currently seeking weekday volunteers.

Voluteers are needed to lead school tours and workshops. The museum will hold training sessions throughout August and September for all those interested in participating.
