To this end, boxes, different wrappings, just he right angle and size for a bow and all sorts of other elements have been studied and you have the benefit of this research in pleasing gifts properly boxed. An example of this I examined today was a whisk In a black and gold box. It was a beautiful article to give a woman and it carried a little card with the following rcrse: "This gaudy colored ralnbowwhlsk. Will cheerfully chase away, Dust and line from off your clothes, you'll but let it stay." The price of this whisk was $1.75. Here is a dainty, delicately fragrant lotion which keeps hands soft and youthful, white and attractive, despite the most arduous labors of the day. Use Persian Balm regularly. It relieves reddened and roughened hands quickly and surely, turning them into hands of real beauty a satisfaction to you, a pleasure to beholders. Quickly absorbed by gentle rubbing.

Indian brassware la very popular this year. There are all sorts of tiny bowls and tiny ash trays made of this oriental brass. Quaint little bowls that may be used for salted nuts may be had for 60 cents each and finely wrought trays for 73 cents.

Something that took my eye particularly was a pair of copper owls. These tiny wise looking birds were each sitting on a cooper stump about four Inches higlt and Mr. Owl might he lifted off. I lifted one of them off to investigate further and found a small opening where Incense might be placed and, looking closely, discovered two tiny holes behind his ears for the fumes to come out. These owls were fascinating fellows and were only $1 each.

On the same table were a number of brass door etops, and fireplace ornaments you will find interesting. You should see these before completing your Christmas list. Here Is the very latest thing in recipe book3. A leatherette loose leaf binder. It is about as large as an ordinary book and contains about as many blank pages with an Index.

Instead of being an alphabetical index however, it is a regular cook's index, with "breads." cake," "desserts," on the tabs. On the inside of the front cover is a list of abbreviations used in cooking and a table of accurate weights and measures. The most compact and complete recipe record I have seen so far. It was only $2. If you wish to know where these articles may be obtained 'phone Nina at 7651 between 9:30 and 12 a.m.
