It was the first time in several months that a violinist had appeared before the club. The entertainers, Ruth Har-oldson and Margarctha Loh-mann, accompanist, are both members of the Whittier college staff, and the former as professor of violin and the latter as dean of music. This gives them exceptional opportunities for team rehearsals, which was evident in the complete accord in the artistic technique they displayed. They were introduced by Miss Bishop, the club's music chairman, following opening exercises and announcements by the president, Mrs.

George W. Gibson. The program opened with three movements of Pierne's "Sonata in Minor for Violin and Piano," which required skill and feeling by both artists. Miss Col. and Mrs.
