fact that most of the rails are embedded in concrete in streets that are paved makes it usless to try to remove them for the cost of taking them out would be three times what could be realized About the only parts of the line that can be salv aged is the road from the city limits to Canisteo and on Adsit Street where there is no paving The over head wiring can be removed of course and the property at the head of Adsit Street where the car barns are located can be sold Probably the heaviest loser is 'the estate of the late Charles Adsit who was one of the original promoters and who in addition to buying heav ily of the stock also bought many bonds afterwards There are also a number of women stockholders who will los eall theyhave put into the project Monday night there will be a investigation that has been made in connection with the death by strangulation of George Richard Akins Jr three weeks old son of Mr and Mrs George Akins of remont that no inquest will be held He is satsified there is noth ing criminal in connection with the affair The child was smothered to' death while sleeping in the same bed with his parents w' knew nothing of it until they ke in the morning and found him Jead Although the coroner is satisfied there is nothing criminal connected with the affair nevertheless he be lieves something should be done to provide other care for the three re
