The Pennsylvania supreme court recently ruled that the merger was legal, thus giv ing the Evangelicals a claim to church property.

The Evangelicals are said to he unwilling to contest the claim of the UnltedEvangelicals to the churcli properties used by individual congregations which rejected the merger. For several months the two factions have been attempting to amiciably adjust this njroblom. Statements Presented Statements presenting the positions of the two groups were discussed at the Harrisburg meeting, but their texts and decisions reached were not made public. The statements are to be considered further. Rev.

W. L. Bollman, representing the Evangelicals, and Rev. A. Cooper, representing the United Evangelicals, were authorized to issue a joint announcement later.

Rev. Bollman last night said: "A meeting of both committees was held at Harrisburg in the Young Men's Christian association. Bishop M. Maze presided. Statements were considered' and referred to the separate groups for further consideration." Revs.
