Withers shot 10 for 17 from the floor mostly jump shots from 18-20 feet and scored the point of her career with 1:47 left in the game.

With the score tied at 21 and 3:40 left in the second period. East ran seven straight points to end the half ahead. 28-21. as Nancy Northup scored five points and Withers two. Northup then took the second-half tip-in for two points, and Nancy Shoolbraid hit four straight points as East zoomed to a 34-21 lead.

Northup, who plans to attend Rutgers next year, finished with 19 game points and with 899 points in her career. IN THE GROUP 1 championship game, Gloucester Catholic used its rebounding strength to fastbreak, and took advantage of poor foul shooting by St. Anthony's of Jersey City, 63-52.
