In Tourney Action Weirton uth Stars Win Weirton's 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Star team opened! tournament play on a successful note Friday, downing Tri-County, 5-2, at Ravenswood. As a result of the win, the Weirton entry, managed by Arlie flicks, sees action again today at 3 p.m. Frank Hanselman and Mark Summers cracked out two hits each for Weirton Friday to lead a nine-hit assault. Steve Zatezalo started for Weirton and gave win to Sal Trujullo, who gained the save. Stevens was the losing hurler.

The teams battled through three scoreless innings before Weirton put three points on the Scoreboard. In the fifth, Weirton plated two more runs. However, in the sixth, Tri-County scored two runs to climax the scoring. High for the Pacers was Joe McLaughlin with 13 points.
