Remains will be cremated and the ashes shipped to Alaska, where she had spent a great deal of her Hie.

The fortunate young man is the son of Ml. and Mrs. J. W. Rule of Oklahoma, but for some time has has made his home with his uncle and aunt, Mr.

aud Mrs. E. E. Chinn of Yucaipa. He has acquired the profession of a farmer and has an important position in carrying on this work in the Yucaipa district, where the young people will make their borne.

When he offered his services to his country in the great world war he was not accepted, owing to the fact that he had extensive crops in and Uncle Sam considered his services more necessary in the fields than at the front. Mr. Rule and Miss Browning met in the church work of the Christian Church of Redlands, and the acquaintance soon developed into a romance that has progressed and will culminate with the marriage service. May Day exercises given this afternoon by all grades of the Highland School were witnessed by a large number of people and unanimously pronounced a grand success.
