The 10-pound dynamite bomb planted on a stolen truck exploded in a narrow street jammed with women doing their marketing. Police said 63 persons were injured, 53 of them women and girls. A dozen of the injured were in hospitals today. Most were cut by flying glass. One of Worst Bombings A police spokesman said, "This was a cold blooded murderous attempt at killing innocent people." He said the pattern of the bombing was different in that no warning was given.

The bomb did not appear to be aimed at destroying a building like many of the bombs placed in the province in the past, an army spokesman said. The injury toll was one of the biggest in any single ex-plosion in more than two years of violence in Northern Ireland. Since the troubles began in August 1969, 206 persons, including civilians, soldiers and police have died in violence.
