Seated is Jack Gunter, is cor Brooklyn Native Active In Church, Scouts Cresskill Services were to be this morning for Miss Florence Miller, who died Sunday at Bergen Pines Hospital. Born in Brooklyn 84 years ago, Miss. Miller lived in Cresskill for more than 40 years and had been at the Park Ridge Manor in Park Ridge since 1965.

In 1921 she organized the Girls Scouts of Cresskill. She taught in the New York City School system for 40 years, and was a member and Sunday school teacher of the Cresskill Congregational Church for many years. She joined the Merritt Park Gospel Church, now the First Baptist Church of Cresskill, when it was founded and taught Sunday school there. She had also served as pianist, trustee, and church clerk. Surviving is a cousin, Milton C.

Ehrland of Pearl River, N. Y. Interment at Brookside Cemetery, Englewood was to follow the service at Barrett Funeral Hrme, Tenafly, with the Rev. Alfred Conant of the First Bap tist Church officiating. FATHER BOUWHUIS, EX-COLLEGE HEAD Buffalo The Rev.

Andrew L. Bouwhuis, former president and rector of Bellarmine College, a Jesuit seminary in Plattsburgh, N. died Monday in Sisters Hospital after a brief illness. He was 71. Father Bouwhuis headed the seminary from 1962 until 1965, when he became spiritual director of the Canisius College Jesuit community here.

He served as librarian of St, Peter's College, Jersey City, N. J. from 1955 to 1960 and for the next 2 years was executive director of LeMoyne College in Syracuse. Father Bouwhuis was Cani sius College librarian from 1935 until taking the post at St. Peter's.

Earlier in his career. he taught at Boston College and is high school, St. Joseph's College in Philadelphia, Ford- ham University, and George town University. Funeral services will be conducted here tomorrow. James F.

Biggs Moonachie Funeral ser vices for James F. Biggs, 51, of 5 Henry Street, who died Sun day at Hackensack Hospital, will be today at 8 P. M. at the Trinka Funeral Home, 439 May-wood Avenue, Maywood. The Rev.

Alex Balden of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. The funeral is tomorrow at 10 A. M. and burial will be in the George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Born in Georgetown, he I was a resident of Moonachie for 20 years.

Mr. Biggs served in the Army in World War and was a i furnace operator for Coast Me-; tals, Little Ferry for 16 years. surviving are his wife, busan; two daughters, Mrs. Doran Webster of Sarasota, and Mrs. Nancy Schlagel of Clay-mont, two sons, Gary and Keith, both at home; his parents, Mrs.

Dora Merchant of Maryland and James Biggs of Maryland; a brother, William Biggs, and three grandchildren. Friends may call today from 3 to -Tand 7 to 9 P. M. Theodore Sadler (Special to The Record) Princeton Theodore Sadler, 79, a former resident of Ridgefield Park and Teaneck, died yesterday. Mr.

Sadler was born in Kingston, N. and was employed by the American Steel Foundries Co. in New York. He worked there for 40 years until his retirement in 1952. He was a life-long member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Ridgefield Park, the Free and Accepted Masons in Chicago, the Boy Scouts of America in Ridgefield Park, and many civic organizations.

He is survived by a brother, David of Pennsylvania; three sons, Arthur L. of West Concord, Theodore R. Jr. of River Edge, and Wilbur M. of Annandale, seven grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Mr. Sadler was the husband of the late Eleanor Sadler. Private funeral services will be conducted here tomorrow. Memorial donations may be made to the Tenacre Foundation, Princeton. HEART ATTACK KILLS LAWYER Boris Hertzberg Rite Will Be Today Paramus Boris Hertzberg, an attorney, 63, of 802 Wynetta Place, died yesterday after a heart attack at his home.

Born in Paterson, he lived in Paramus 10 years. He was graduated from New York University Law School and had a private practice in Paterson. He Wis an attorney for 35 years. He was a member of the Passaic County Title Searchers Association and The Title Abstractors Association of New Jersey. Surviving are his wife the former Evelyn Sportelly; a son Robert of Paramus; and a brother Walter of Ramsey.

Services will be today at 2 P. M. the Robert Schoem Menorah Chapel, West 150 Route 4. Burial will be at the King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton. The mourning period will be at his residence.

JOHN THYGESEN, 84, ERIE CAPTAIN Rutherford John Thygesen, 84, of 26 Spring Dell, died Monday at Passaic General HosDital after a long illness. Born in Norway, Mr. Thygesen had lived here for the past 6 months and formerly lived in Ridgefield Park for 38 years. He was a retired lighter captain for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. Mr.

Thygesen was employed by the railroad for 50 years retiring in 1938. He is survived by his wife, Nora. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P. M. tomorrow at the Diffily Funeral Home, 41 Ames Avenue.

The Rev. William Niebanck, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Hackensack Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 P.

M. Mary Stapert Hawthorne Funeral services will be tomorrow for Mrs. Mary Van der Schelde Stapert, 68, of 50 Westervelt Avenue, who died Monday in Paterson General Hospital. Mrs. Stapert was born in Prospect Park and resided in this borough for 40 years.

She was the widow of Jacob Stapert who died in 1941. She was a member of the Prospect Park Christian Reformed Church. Surviving are a son Samuel of Oakland; a brother Peter Van der Schelde of Little Falls; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 P. M.

at the Vermeulen Memorial Funeral Home, 131 Haledon Avenue, Paterson, with the Rev. James R. Kok of the Prospect Park Reformed Church officiating. Interment will follow in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call today from 1 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 P.

M. Edith B. Juchatz Hillsdale Services will be at 8 o'clock tonight at the Mc-Quade Funeral Home, 270 Broadway, for Mrs. Edith Bender Juchatz of 251 Mapla Avenue. She died Monday at Pascack Valley Hospital, West-wood.

Mrs. Juchatz was born in Brooklyn and lived there until she moved to Hillsdale 9 months ago. She was the wife of the late George Juchatz, and is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Grace J. Schulhafer of Hillsdale, and two grandchildren.

The family has announced that memorial donations to Pascack Valley Hospital will be appreciated. The Rev. Thomas M. Foster of Grace Episcopal Church, West-wood, will officiate at the services tonight Interment tomorrow at 9:30 A. M.

Charles G. Stouter, C. a Roman Catholic priest of Brooklyn. Born in Emmitsburg, he lived in the Paterson area until coming to Ridgewood 60 years ago. He retired in 1951 from the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company where he was a repairman.

He was a member of the H. G. McCully Chapter 12, Telephone Pioneers of America, and he was credited with installing most of the earliest residential telephones in Bergen County. Mr. Stouter was the oldest member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.

C. Church in Ridgewood, and he was affiliated with its Holy Name Society. He was a life and charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1736, Ridgewood. Surviving, in addition to his brother, are his wife, the former Johanna Anglum Stouter; a son, Charles D. of Upper Montclair; two daughters, Mrs.

She served the Syndicate for 56 years. The Syndicating service supplies newspapers across the nation, with comic strips and features that include columns, short fiction stories and serialized novels. It has been said that prior to her leaving active duty about a year ago, Miss Slott read more comics than any one else in the country. INJURIES FATAL Springfield, Mass Don aid Carlon, 20, of Highlands, N. a student at Springfield College, died yesterday in a hospital of a skull fracture suffered in an automobile collision January 11. A native of New York City, Reinhold was graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1897. He attended the Teachers College of Columbia University and Cornell University. Reinhold was business manager of Architectural Record from 1903 to 1912 and part owner and advertising manager of Architectural Forum from 1912 to 1918.

He stablished Watson-Guptill Publications, and American Artist magazine in 1938 with Arthur Guptill and Ernest Watson. In 1941, he and Earie Mac-Ausland founded "Gourmet" magazine. Survivors include a son, Paul, of Pawling, and three Gross, Executive Field Club, Wyckoff Democratic Club, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Teaneck. Surviving are his wife Anna: two daughters, Elizabeth of Philadelphia, Margery of Wyclcoff, and Mrs, Seymour (Dorothy) Palwsky of East Grand Rapids, a sister Anna and two grandchildren, David and Carol.

Funeral Home, West Verona. W. T. BAILEY, 85, HIGHWAY AIDE Nanuet William T. Bailey, 85, of 18 Fenner Lane was to have been buried today in Ger-monds Cemetery, New City.

Mr. Bailey died Monday in Elmwood Manor Nursing Home, Nanuet. Mr. Bailey was born in England in 1881 and came to the United States in 1896. After spending much of his life in Brooklyn he moved to Nanuet 4 years ago.

He was employed as chief inspector of the Bureau of Highways before retirement. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; one son, William W. of Nanuet; one daughter. Mrs. M.

Helena Harper of Bethesda, and four grandchildren. Services were conducted by the Rev. Edward W. Callendar and funeral arrangements were by the Higgins Funeral Home, 24 Main Street, Nanuet Ann McCabe, 30 New City Mrs. Ann McCabe, 30, of 7 Brookside Avenue, was to be buried this morning in St.

Anthony's Cemetery. Nanuet. She died at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Suf-fern on Saturday, after a short illness. Mrs. McCabe came to the United States in 1955 from Ireland, her birthplace, and had been a resident of New City for the past 5 years, having lived in White Plains previously.

She was employed by the Empire State Savings and Loan Association of New City and was was a member of the Catholic Big Sisters of St. Augustine's R. C. Church, also of New City. Surviving are her husband.

Y. Ml Ralph W. Reinhold, founder and former president of the Reinhold Publishing Corp. of New York City, died yesterday at his home in this Dutchess County community. He was 88.

Reinold was president of the publishing company until 1945 when he became chairman- of the board. In 1950 he retired from active direction of the company, but continued as chairman and adviser until last year. The Reinhold company publishes architectural magazines, chemicals and materials magazines, and art, technical, science and text books. It also manages advertising for toe American Chemical Society..
