Hunton a Committee to wait on Mis Excellency the Governor, and inform him that the Joint Assembly was ready to receive his Message. The Committee performed this duty, conducting the Governor elect to the bar of the House, where he received the oath of office from Hon. Levi Underwood, President of the Joint Assembly, and delivered the following Executive Address: See first page. We learn that Mr. Robinson bad just entered upon his duty in the above mentioned mill, a the successor of the late Mr. James Graham, and that he leaves a widow and five children to mourn his sudden death. He was favorably spoken of as a candidate for the democratic nomination for sheriff at the coming election. Neither has he given permission for the publication of a "certificate" purporting to emanate from him, and cannot, therefore, be responsible for any alarming consequences resulting from rashness and desperation. The loss of money mar not be material to some persons, but the deprivation of one of the most important of the senses, ought to be regarded and treated with more than solicitude.
