Gal rep calls King violent Washington (UPD) Conservative Rep. Larry McDonald (D-Ga.) yesterday broke a stream of testimony supporting a national holiday in memory of Martin Luther King Jr. by demanding release of the FBI's King tapes. McDonald, testifying before House post office subcommittee, drew murmurs and hisses from the predominantly black audience when he said that King was not the nonviolent man people thought him to be but was "in fact, wedded to violence," with Communists in his entourage. -McDonald said the King tapes should be heard before any holiday is established, "lest there be any embarrassment." But the tapes, obtained illegally in the 1960s by the FBI, were ordered sealed Jan.

31, 1977, for 50 years by U.S. District Judge John Lewis Smith. Coretta Scott King, widow of the slain civil rights leader, accompanying a petition with six million signatures, testified for the bill at the hearing. The bill, which Rep. John Conyers Jr.

(D- Mich.) has sponsored unsuccessfully in each of the last seven congresses, would designate King's Jan. 15 birthday as a national holiday. OBITUARY OSCAR S. STAUFFER Topeka, Kan. (AP) Oscar S.

Such tumors, he said, can be as large as one's thumb.

He has never examined her, but he said he was given all the facts about her medical history as a "hypothetic! case" by Famiglietti. He then was asked by the prosecutor what his medical opinion was as to the cause of each coma, and both times he answered: "Exogenous (external) insulin administration," causing hypoglycemic coma. He then ruled out more than nine other possible causes of such coma, explaining in detail to the jurors why it was impossible for anything but an injection of insulin to create the unconscious states. CAHILL RULED out alcohol, he ruled out barbiturates, and he ruled out reactive hypoglycemia, testifying that he has "never" known of any case of reactive hypoglycemia causing coma. Then, asked about the eggnog drinking, the doctor said: "I cannot think of a better antidote to hypoglycemia than to take eggnog" because the drink contains "high fat and protein." In cross-examination, defense attorney Herald Price Fahringer got the doctor to admit that there have been cases where people have secretly injected themselves with insulin, and then denied it.

These, he said, had psychiatric underlying causes. Before Cahill took the stand, a prominent New York City medical specialist testified that he had examined Mrs. von Bulow and that the only cause for her comas was insulin injections. The extensive tests done on her, said Dr. Donald Holub, proved that she could not have manufactured the "high level of insulin" found in her system.

It was the first time an expert told the jurors that both comas had an identical cause, "insulin injected into her body." Holub is a staff internist and specialist in endocrinology-the study of glands- at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, where Mrs. von Bulow is being cared for. Caught peaking in Peking Peking (UPD) -In the first such case reported in Peking, police arrested five people using government video equipment to show and copy steamy foreign sex films. The official media charged yesterday that pornography was polluting socialism with the "stink of the bourgeoisie." The official newspaper Peking Daily said the equipment used was illicitly taken or borrowed from government ministries, including the State Commission for Family Planning. mond's Cemetery. Con Edison Accelerates a Gas Refund to its Service Classification Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Gas Customers The Public Service Commission has approved Con: Edison's request to accelerate a $10 million gas refund to. its Service Classification Nos. 1, 2 and 3 gas customers beginning February 1, 1982 by an amendment to the Company's gas revenue stabilization clause.

The Com-. pany is accelerating the refund to its firm gas customers to temper the impact of 1982 winter heating bills. Under the normal operation of the Company's tariff, this amount would have been refunded to firm customers over a twelve month period. By the present change, customers will receive the accelerated refund automatically by a reduction in the gas adjustment charge during the months of February and March 1982. The accelerated refund will be in addition to the amounts that would normally be refunded to customers during these months.

Complete copies of these changes are available for your inspection at the office of the Public Service Commission, Two World Trade Center- 2440, New York, New York 10047, at the Company's Main Office at 4 Irving Place- Office New York, New York 10003, and at all Con Edison Business Offices, located in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Westchester.
