H. H. Jeff- Rock Creek ROCK CREEK (RNS) Miss Cosby Brewster, Miami, arrived to visit Miss Grace Tabor Wednesday. Miss Tabor resumed her teaching duties Wednesday following the illness and death if her mother, Mrs. Erie Tabor.

VISITORS in the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Parolari, Rock Creek, are his uncle and aunt, Mr.

and Mrs. Frank Dodson, Kingsport, Tenn. They will return to their home today. Other relatives visited in the area were Fev. and Mrs.

Ernest Barley, Bradley. coate, bail park area in West Mullens; Mrs. Gerald Snyder, Moran Avenue; Mrs. A. R.

Hearn, Dunman Street, Mrs. Randy Akers and Mrs. R. D. Price, hill section.

Blankenship, a portion of Frantz Avenue. Mrs. Price, who is in charge of Highland Avenue and Circle Drive, announced the following workers: Mrs. David Worley, Mrs. Lewis Worley, Mrs.

Vernon Musser and Mrs. 0. J. Wood. Mrs.

Jeffcoate listed Mrs. Georgia Frank and Mrs. Julia Howery as her workers, and Mrs. Gerald Snyder listed workers in her area as Mrs. Thomas Nichols and Mrs.

Eddie Pryor. MRS. BRADBURY announced Mrs. John Fowler will work in her area and additional workers will be announced. John Tice, Mullens, is county chairman of the United Fund drive which will be held during this month.

A goal of $13,200 has been set to be raised in the county. Participating organizations in the UF of Wyoming County are Boy Scouts of America, Wyoming County District of the Appalachian Council; The Girl Scouts of America, Wyoming County Division of the Southern Region of West Virginia; Wyoming County Chapter of the American Red Cross; Wyoming County Chapter of the Mental Health Association, and the United Service Organization. Earnest Shumate entered the Wyoming General Hospital in Mullens Friday night to undergo observation and treatment. MRS. SHUMATE is postmaster at Sabine. During her absence, Mrs. Horace -McGraw will assume her post office duties.

Daughter's Birth Told SABINE (RNS) Mr. and Mrs. Lee Sizernore announce the birth of a girl at 5:30 a.m. Friday at the Pineville Maternity Clinic. THE BABY, who has been named Spnja Renee, five pounds, fourteen ounces.

The Size- mores have five other daughters. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Garland Bailey, Beckley sad Mr. and Sirs.

John Sizemore, McGraws, are the fraternal grandparents. ROCK CREEK (RNS) Charles M. Rumberg, 79, was honored with a birthday dinner at his home here Sunday. A retired miner, he has lived with a son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.

F. C. Lemon, for about 30 years. Among his birthday gifts was a huge birthday cake with 79 candles, a gift of a granddaughter, Mrs. J.

C. Broome, Ravenswood. RUMBERG'S chief hobby is gardening which he pursues with zeal. He has two children, Mrs, Lemon and a son, Guy, Beckley. He also has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lee Family From Germany Visiting In Area Spending a month with her Alice) Roberts of Todendorf, parents are Mrs. J. C. (Lou Germany, and her daughters, Pamela Sue, 4, and Sandra Kay, 8-months. They are shown with her mother, Mrs.

J. W. Djxon, New Richmond. Mrs. Roberts was called tare by Illness of her father who was a patient for 14 days in the Wyoming General Hospital, Mullens, after suffering a heart attack.

Roberts, Bud, will be stationed overseas an additional 21 months. Variety Show To Aid Centennial ROCK CREEK (KN S) A variety show to benefit the Raleigh County Centennial Fund will be held at the ML View School gymnasium Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Robert Hale, Marsh Fork District Centennial chairman, and Mrs. Maude Parolari, co-chairman, are in charge of the event.

ANY PERSON or group desiring to participate on the two-hour program is asked to contact Mrs. Hale whose telephone number is 85-3222 or Miss Edna Wills Arnette. Local talent is invited for music, dancing, dramatizations, acrobatics, etc. Carl J. Jarrel, Dry Creek, will announce the program.

Bellemeade -BYFers Have Busy Schedule (RNS) The week was a busy one for the members of the Youth Fellowship of the Bellemeade Baptist Church. In addition to its regular meeting Sunday, preceding the evening worship sendee, the group has attended two ether events, the rally of the Rockcastle Baptist Association, Monday night aid a -wiener roast and marshmallow toast, Thursday night PRESENT from the Bellemeade Fellowship at the Monday night service in Pineville with the Cook Memorial, the host church, were Reginia and Sandra Pruiett, Duane Tolliver, Delores Blake, Gary Domi, Tommy Peck, Robert Tolliver, Patty Ellis, Drema Canada, Betty Ellis, Judy Brooks, Stexne Brooks, Mrs. Amedeo Domi and Mrs. Divert Canada. DURING THE recreational and refreshment hour at Pineville, Judy Brooks, vice president of the association, and Reginia Pruiett, president of the local fellowship, with Mrs.

Domi and Mrs. Canada, attended the cabinet meeting for leaders, district officers and fel lowship presidents. The Thursday wiener roast, near the school, culminated a Bible quiz contest between two sides of the BYF, with the losers feting the winners. Miss Pruiett was in charge of the competition. Present were Judy Brooks, Sandra Pruiett, Delores Blake, Willie Tilley, Duane Tolliver, Robert Tolliver, Drema Canada, Ruby Jude, Steve Brooks, Jerry Dflmi, Lacy Brooks, Gary Domi, Patty and Bettv Ellis.

Also attending were the Rev. Stacey Brooks and Mrs. Domi. Adult Evening Classes In Organization Stage PINEVILLE (RNS) Adult evening classes will be organized at Pineville High School at 7 p.m. Monday.

Such classes 'will be in commercial subjects. The organizational meeting will be for any adult in Wyoming County who wishes to enroll in such classes. SPECIFIC class offerings will be determined by the number of persons present desiring a certain class. The site or sites of such classes organized will also depend upon the enrollment in the classes. A minimum of 12 persons in a class is needed before a class can be organized.

Rowe, assistant cashier at the First National Bank, of Alderson, has retired after serving 44 years as a member of the bank's staff. HE CAME to Alderson in 1899 when his parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Jsaac Rowe, moved their family from Claremont, in Fayetta County to have their children take advantage of schools. He has spent all of years since as a resident of AWerscn and all of his working years at the bank. HE RECALLS that his first work at the bank was a six- monttis term to "help out" and as a period of probation on a no pay basis. At the end of this period, he was given permanent work and as he recalls his first salary was S25 a month and that when he had worked up to a salary of S100 he felt like a millionaire, and then as always has felt great pride in being a part of the operating force of the bank which he states is rated as one 'of the best small banks in the state.

IN ADDITION to his business activities at the bank, Rowe served for 26 years as financial secretary of Old Greenbrier Baptist Church, of which he has been a member since his early boyhood. TOO TOUGH TO HANDLE BEESTON, England (UPI) -Magistrates threw out of court Tuesday a careless driving case because the drivers of the two vehicles involved in a crash gave such confused stories that responsibility could not be determined. The vehicles were a police car and a fire engine.
