In Brisbane, some employers now refuse to employ blondes at all. Brunettes are said to adapt themselves better to office routine and to have greater powers of concentration. Jecta-Scope Set ONLY ONE QUALITY ONLY ONE TIMILT DIES DOWN The anticipated tumultuous session' fe'Jed out as President Ray Ruthenbeck's last minute stumping for the young club and acid-like remarks concerning the 55 new members brought in most of them by sponsors of the winning slate fell upon apparently deaf ears. Henry W.

Theis, unopposed for the presidency, received 154 of the 169 votes cast while Mrs. Dorothy jlorschauser defeated Mrs. Verdi Kvan, 120 to 41, for the vice-presidency. Ernest A. Carls Jr.

was tiected secretary over Francis P. Oddo, 123 to 44, and Councilman C. Henry Vehrkens wrested the treas-urefh'ip from the incumbent Ray Xing by a 127 to 42 count. Mrs. Freda Gustafson led the sinning executive committee ticket with 149 votes and was followed by fred Stukhart and Seibert Unge-mach, who polled 121 each, Fred Tuers with 119 ballots and Edward Klaiss 113.

School Trustee Louis Fagnoni was high man on the other with 56 votes. He was followed by Ruthenbeck 48, and William H. Jeens, young Republican president, and George M. Tischbin, both 43. Botli sides claimed Mrs.

Gustafson as their candidates. Morris B. Kan-toff withdrew from the executive committee race before the balloting flatted. Mrs. Ryan and Oddo asked that election of Mrs.

Morschauser and Carls be made unanimous. Immediately prior to the election Theis took the floor and thanked President Rulhenbeck for his support in a public statement yesterday, but in fairness to young Republican adherents explained that he as asked to run by the Mayor and Council on a ticket sponsored by tiiem. Ruthenbeck's remarks in which he said, "There seems to be a controversy as to who's who, who's going to be who and why. It's not that question, but it is a question cf who's going to be the best man to lead the party to where it should be, not where it is now" followed. He pointed to the large number of new members and declared, "It just goes to show that when co-nxration is needed it can be had.

Tie time to support the party is throughout the year and on Election Day, not at a club election. "We owe thanks to Joe Martin for saving the party from a complete rout because too many Republicans not get out and work on Election Day as they have worked to-riht." The storm which should have been brought on by Ruthenbeck's last minute speech did not descend and the president appointed Tax Assrssor Axel W. Blomstergren to fill the chair during the election as he was a candidate for the executive committee. Blomstergren appointed Mayor Frank L. Jones as judge of the election, Recorder Francis R.

Englcke, secretary of the election, and Erling Pedcism and Julius Lotter, tellers. frank E. Olson was appointed to fill the post of Secretary Tischbin, 8iSQ a candidate for the executive commiltee. The voting proceeded quietly with ballots being passed out and each member depositing his vote in the box lus name was called from the toll. The resignation of former School Albert Van Saim was not arcepini Rnci a motion passed that advised of the chili's action 'n keeping name on the roll in he moves back to the Borough.
